H Azmal 0 Report post Posted June 21, 2015 Nothing on CNA or Straistimes yet. Only BH and Radio24 have reported "mendarat cemas". Would like to know if it really was a "pendaratan cemas" in the true sense of that word "cemas".

H Azmal 0 Report post Posted June 21, 2015 fire in the cargo hold: KUALA LUMPUR: Fire in the cargo hold forced a Singapore Airlines (SIA) flight to make an emergency landing at Kuala Lumpur International Airport on Sunday evening. Singapore Airlines flight SQ425 from Mumbai to Singapore, carrying 190 passengers touched down in Sepang at about 3.55pm, after reporting a "technical error". Fire and Rescue Department officers were despatched to the scene to assist in moving passengers off the plane before opening the cargo door. “The fire had already been put out by plane’s fire fighting mechanism when it landed,” said Selangor Bomba operations chief Mohd Sani Harul. http://www.thestar.com.my/News/Nation/2015/06/21/SIA-emergency-landing-cargo-fire

Chris Tan 0 Report post Posted June 21, 2015 It's SQ so let's not make a big deal out of this. If it was MH, then we should all rant about how unsafe they are on Twitter and FB, even if it's a false alarm.

If it was MH, then we should all rant about how unsafe they are on Twitter and FB, even if it's a false alarm. To be fair, the recent MH A333 incident in Melbourne did not receive any undue coverage. If it happened after the SQ6 incident at TPE, I am sure SQ would also be scrutinized by the media...
Alif A. F. 0 Report post Posted June 22, 2015 If it happened after the SQ6 incident at TPE, I am sure SQ would also be scrutinized by the media... Some days after SQ006 incident, an SQ A310 skidded the runway at KCH in wet weather. Cause some media frenzy too at that time.
