Don’t expect a great deal of pizzazz at the Paris Air Show.

There will be no new product launches from Airbus, Boeing, Bombardier or Embraer, which have done all they are going to for the time being.

They said they're going to order 250 planes before 2025. That's 60 789/359, 80 B738MAX, 50 A320s.

Another 60 to go... should be a top-up of A320NEOS, new regional jet orders, and/or ATRs.

Couldn't agree more!

I think all these orders when confirmed, are for deliveries between 2021-2025 or even later.

A long shot but they should've been financially more stable by then.

Lots of them will be replacing current fleet though.

But again, such order intents is massive for GA's scale of operation.

Surely this was planned quite some time ago before the new management took over.

LOI is not a firm order - they still have to negotiate a proper contract. So, don't take LOIs too seriously it is nice for airshows but it is not a solid order!

Garuda Indonesia signs LOI for 30 A350 XWB

 

Garuda Indonesia has signed a Letter of Intent (LOI) with Airbus for the purchase of 30 A350 XWB aircraft. Garuda Indonesia plans to use the A350 XWB to develop its medium and long haul network, with the aircraft offering the ability to fly non-stop from Jakarta or Bali to Europe.

GE Capital Aviation Services (GECAS), the aviation leasing and financing arm of General Electric [NYSE: GE] has announced a firm order for 60 A320neo Family aircraft including the A321neo at the 51st International Paris Air Show. GECAS has selected CFM’s LEAP-X engine for all 60 A320neo aircraft.

Boeing Statement on EVA Airways' Intent to Purchase Five 777 Freighters

 

LE BOURGET, France, June 15, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Boeing [NYSE:BA] announced today at the Paris Air Show that EVA Airways intends to purchase five 777 Freighters. The commitment, valued at more than $1.5 billion at list prices, represents the first 777 Freighters to join EVA's fleet and will be posted to Boeing's Orders & Deliveries website once finalized.

The Taiwanese airline plans to use the new freighters to bolster its fleet in an effort to meet growing demand in the air cargo market.

Airbus in early talks over moderate A380 stretch

 

Airbus has strongly hinted that it is considering a moderate stretch of the A380 as part of a modernisation package tied to a potential engine upgrade on the type.

While the notion is only preliminary, the airframer has been gauging interest from possible customers.

Airbus had originally intended to stretch the A380-800 to a proposed -900, a version which would make better use of the -800’s wing.

Yes, they have a great deal of problems with their B77W - they cannot take off at MTOW at CGK. So lets hope that the infrastructure will be ready for the new aircraft that they have intention to order.

If Indonesian Government can consider to abolish the visa requirements for Australian passport holders, or at least offers transit visas like what China does, that would help GA to tap into Kangaroo routes and Oz-Far East routes as well as stimulate the tourism industry from transit pax.
