TK 0 Report post Posted March 14, 2006 Instrument Flying is the father of all flying... On a commercial world...from the point of rotation till minima before the runway. It will be your life and it will be in your blood and your EYE BALL. Be careful with your scanning....Aviate, Navigate and Communicate. You will get through it...it is tough but its the most important if flying nowadays. Get it rated and get it done. You body is the Artificial Horizon...so zoom on it. the speeds and altimeter and vertical speed...it comes naturally. Remember...its the Horizon...straight and level... once that is done... Navigate...Your VOR tracking, ADF and ILS.. and not to forget...you need to talk...to yourself and ATC... Keep your mind ahead...not thinking at this end...its the other end is the results....for a safe approach. Good luck. D50...good on ya mate.
Denny Yen 0 Report post Posted March 14, 2006 (edited) Cleared the dust spot with clone tool using Adobe Elements. Check the original size of the pic again with hi-res monitor, I think there are some more tiny ones. p/s: BTW, the max. size allowed by the admin is 800pixels wide. I have problems with dust spots too...my advise is to use the following steps: 1. Using brush/air-ball/3M towel to clean the lens' UV filter, lens. 2. Take entire pics in white color (for e.g., white wall). Check if dust spot still persist. If yes, go to 3. 3. Mirror and CMOS sensor cleaning (very delicate)- use air-ball only. Never use brush, liquid. And never allow air-ball tip to go beyond lens mount. Read the instructions carefully. Otherwise, bring it back to any Nikon authorized dealer for cleaning. 4. In the meantime, you can repair your pic using "clone" tool...so don't despair and delete those "spotted" pics. Edited March 14, 2006 by Denny Yen

It was a hazy day, so i had to track 5 miles off track to keep clear of gunung pulai. As Capt. Radzi said, SKAry body was buried there..

Attan 0 Report post Posted March 24, 2006 Tell Me the Story About Gunung Pulai.. Why too Scare ??? Kurang Faham ??? Brahim Gunung Pulai is just beside WMKJ and is about 1,000ft. The airport can't be seen if you approach it from the northwest (Benut) and in poor visibility it's best to avoid that approach.
Shannon 0 Report post Posted March 27, 2006 hey guys just thought i'd add a few pics i took on my navigation flight to johor, met up with neesern ( kuni ) there. kinda got stuck above clouds at 3500 feet with no visual with ground.......
Norman 1 Report post Posted March 28, 2006 Great shots Neesern... For the night shots, try to bump up the ISO... maybe to 800 and check the shutter speed... You can use Neat Image to remove noise. If cockpit shot, try use widest focal length that'll minimise some blur also since DOF is quite long. It's difficult to shoot in cockpit of small plane, what more at night.. Goo ones. Shannon, Thanks for sharing the pix.. So IFR to WMKJ eh? Good cloud images
Azuddin 1 Report post Posted March 28, 2006 blur but i kinda like it. light plane travelling in hyperspace. Azuddin
