Dr Frasier 0 Report post Posted May 20, 2012 Surprised nobody here has noticed that KLM will be adding additional frequencies to KUL from Winter 2012. New flights will be operated by 747-400 Combi and 772 mix as KL811 arriving KUL at 0720 or 0735 depending on aircraft type and return departures will be at 0920 or 0950 again depending on day/aircraft type as KL812. Flights depart Amsterdam Mon, Wed and Sat. KL809/810 will continue to operate daily AMS - KUL - CGK with 777-300ER operating x4 weekly and 777-200ER x3 weekly. http://airlineroute.net/2012/05/10/kl-w12-update2

Mushrif A 3 Report post Posted May 21, 2012 After some 10 days, the surprise factor would have dissipated by now.
Pieter C. 5 Report post Posted May 21, 2012 Internal memo states, due to heavy traffic to Australia/New Zealand this increase in flights is warranted; note KL0811 and MH0017 AMS-KUL almost same schedule !!!

Josh T 0 Report post Posted May 23, 2012 The loads on the KUL-AMS sector must be really good. A pity MH is not going to use the A380 on this route, even if it may only be 3 or 4 times a week (since they won't have enough of the dugongs for a daily service). flee 5 Report post Posted May 23, 2012 Loads not only mean pax loads. Cargo loads could also be very good.

Daniel Ng 0 Report post Posted July 3, 2012 What has this got to do with MH's entry into Oneworld? KLM is under Skyteam
flee 5 Report post Posted July 3, 2012 This is due to the fact that MH has downgraded its equipment from B744 to B772 for the KUL-AMS run. So KLM has to put on more capacity to compensate for MH's capacity reduction.
Eugene Koh 4 Report post Posted July 3, 2012 If the A380 proves to be a hit with MAS, then order more

So KLM has to put on more capacity to compensate for MH's capacity reduction. You mean MH reduced capacity KUL-AMS vv because of impending OW alliance ? And KL (a Skyteam member) increased capacity in response ? It's a wierd industry !
flee 5 Report post Posted July 3, 2012 I am not sure whether their code share agreement will be terminated. If that is the case, they will have to use their own metal for the route. Not as weird as it sounds!
BC Tam 2 Report post Posted July 3, 2012 Not as weird as it sounds! Maybe 'weird' was not the correct term - perhaps 'intriguing' ?!
