  1. hmmm, it could be....I didn't think from this angle.
  2. I don't think so they need to use real model for crash or something. Also I'm sure they can find a real aircraft bodies from aircraft junkyard easy in USA if they need it.. Special effect supervisors creates everything , 3D modelling technics are awesome the most of time they don't need to go out stage, all of them happening in front of blueback (or green).
  3. We have talk about this movie in out forum a few months ago. We have seen wrong airplane types while taking of ant hen landed type in the movies many times before... years ago. But in today technics much better especially effects, 3D capabilities and much better knowledges/careful audiences in the movies. The cocpit shapes looks likes DC9, thats ok! at the outside views plane looks like DC9 or similiar MD80/81 whatever.. but cocpit instruments why lookis like 737NG???...Director Zemeckis is not a "rookie" on movie industrie, I'm sure art of directory too. so why they unrespectfull to audiences? does they suppose about audiences doesn't know difference? interesting point.
  4. And finally.....!!! we were expecting for a long time for this program from World Air routes. Turkish Airlines brand new B777-300ER from Istanbul to Narita and return flight http://www.worldairr...Turkish777.html for teaser; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G97_JGce7_E&feature=colike
  5. Timothy, do you mind, could you share the cost of PPL course?
  6. Hello folks, I have a forum friends who is member of a travel forum. They have a plan to Thailand,Malaysia and Singapore. They are searching airline tickets right now and they found great value from Singapore to Bangkok leg with " scoot airways" What do you think about Scoot airways? is there anyone to had any experience with this airline, have you got any information about airline such as "at the time schedule" or in charter regulation (felxible schedule) etc. Do you suggest this airline or not?
  7. Yes it was true and not in practice anymore . Military service is compulsory to all Turkish (mans) citizens. After finished army duty everyone becomes "reserve" until 55 years old (or 50 years old). There were some special rules, just only one person of a family could be reservist from each home and youngest person takes this duty. If there is no any "man" in house, not to be reservist . Last year some regulations have been changed includes compulsary reservists. (I've had duty order as reservist, as to be second lieutenant) Reservists are can be only calls in "war" situation, example in 1974 at the time of "Cyprus Peace OPeration" , reservists called to army for 2 months. They re-trained about their duties. In today conditions, no need to "mobilization" to war in public(citizen) level. Even be removed "reservists" by government, if army announce "need some peoples for protecting our countries", I'm sure countless peoples joins to army again.
  8. Negative, according by news; rescue team has been found the wreckage about at 1300mt deep of sea. Also they says found pilot helmets and shoes belonging lost pilots. There is no any clue about pilots alive or not. Our expecting they are alive and arrested by Syrina or northern Syrian rebels forces becouse of no bodies part in shoes or helmets if plane exploded in air by missile or crashed down to surface. Government sends more military task forces, tanks, munitions and troops to Syrian borders nowadays. No sign interfere to Syrian but Army HQ increased alarm level one step to higher and released "if any hostile action would be response the same action", so it's mean, they are serious. I really don't know what did they doing in there (our RF4E). Ofcourse, our RF4Es makes regular, usually duty missions north of Northern Turkish Cyprus in Turkish air space. So FIR lines are neighbours and Norther Turkish Cyprus territory too close Syrian air and sea borders (near Aleppo). There are too many confused informations. Honestly I really don't know, how our plan shooted down! Syrians says that "we shoot them antiaircraft weapon" , another unofficial says "plane shooted down by Russian warships where they located naval base near Aleppo" (remember, a few months ago, Russian warships arrives to Syria), another one says " plane shoot down by S300 missiles by Syrian forces"........ still no "exactly clear" information.
  9. I read and watch all news but something weird according me! Official informations and news says that "only one F4 took off from Malatya-Erhac AB and lost contact near Syrian border". As far as I know ,only "reconnaisance" planes flies alone in aviation dicipline. Otherwise, we could informed to know there were 2 or 3 planes fleets flyover syrian borders. There are smelling bad! somethings wrong! In normally, there is no serious problem between Turkey and Syria. Both countries cancelled visa process in last year for free crossing border. We had some problems past years about PKK kurdish terrorists who they hidden in Syrian lands but after Iraq invasion, terrorists were left from Syria to Iraq. USA and UK forcing to Turkey to do something in Syria but Turkish Government always keeps respect to any other countries home affairs. Thatswhy, Turkish government does not prefer to enter Syrian lands to reason any "peace mission to get democracy" like as US into Iraq.
  10. heheh no prob I advise to watch "soloTurk" in youtube if you have free time. It is second aerobatic team in Turkish Airforce, they are just only 3 pilots and perfoms solo aerobatic show with one F16 (block50)(they have another one as secondary plane if something happens primary plane). According by me, SoloTurk livery is also excellent. I don't know, maybe they comes to Malaysia or Singapore if someones invite them
  11. I saw a message in out virtual pilot forum a few minutes ago and after I watched, I'd like to share with you. This is Turkish Air Force's Aerobatic team Turkish Stars. Promo video for Turkish Star's 20th years celebration. All NF5 fighters repainted new scheme dedicated "20th years" and honestly much better older one. I don't know I'm lucky man or not but 20 years ago I was in a Air Force Base where is also using for main heavy maintenance of Air Force jet planes (manufacturer level maintenance). I was in there (with a few friends) by special permisson because of we were looking some spare cockpit parts for our "F104G Starfighter" which is stayed as monument at our University garden. While technicians introduces the hangars (special tour ) first Turkish Star NF-5A towed out from "painting station" . She was smelling fresh paint anyway, I hope you like it;
  12. Pieter, thanks for THY's A319 pictures all pictures are awesome. I liked very much bizjets and special liveries. Also it was nice to see "rare" DC8s in both of your pictures with Cornelis.
  13. aaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhh... I seeee that you are absolutly right maybe door is comes from otherside or any other plane which is painted different size scheme.
  14. seems like as used to be! this is A320 and she has 2 exits on the wings. What is wong?
  15. Yes, it's true, one of the best becouse of recorded by "Simon Lowe"
  16. any chance to listening ATC for for KL?...meanwhile if you wish, you can listen LTBA area with ATC (cycles tower-approach-center in every 20seconds) ---> www.iststatus.com
  17. Airport as no ICAO code, just only has IATA as LBP. I think Long Banga non-tower very small airstrip field by providing Kota Kinabalu FIC. You can get more information from Malaysia AIP (http://aip.dca.gov.my/), aerodromes-->other airports page 8 (AD4.1-8 )
  18. hmm looks pretty good , brand new a new airports and terminals I can feel smell of "fresh" materials looks like a new car one of my friend is a manager of a Turkish Sonstruction company in new Doha Terminal. He has been Doha for 4 years. I missed a opportunity to work with them in this project.
  19. impressive presentation,I really liked it. thanks for great pictures Naim.
  20. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X4wAgk0pPC4
  21. are they kidding while they says "very small cracks"? a lot of plane crashed by very small cracks problem in aviation history!
  22. as we have talk before, I just only believe cell phones thats are posible cause of any negative affects on aircraft systems. But still there is no ceratin evidence about that except a few experience. I understand "CD players, transreceivers" also becouse of one of them produce microwave from laer source another one basicly a transmittet or radio with antenna (antenna has capability about waving even just only use receive) But I don't understand other electronic devices which has hard/solid chip include. How they can be waving signals that can be affected on aircraft systems? they just only work microchips! Maybe they just only wanted to precaution against passangers who doesn't understand of differents which one harms or not.
  23. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TH4vstvhNMs When I was going to Istanbul Aviation Club years ago, I flew at least 10 hours in rear seat on another T34A MEntor. Was a great plane and experience I really appreciated to my friend who was member of club and invited me to flying with T34 and other planes.
  24. also its mean, an era ending soon, last passanger DC10s never be fly anymore.
