True to aviation reporting in Malaysia, a company piggybacking on an airline has been accorded the full-fledged airline company status

Newitt replied to flee's topic in General Aviation
Not sure if this has been asked before but do the new MH 738s come with heads-up guidance? -
Huh? You sure? That seems a bit contradictory?

Have we run out of eminent Malaysian women to represent the country that we have to resort to ministers' wives? Are they entrepreneurs? They're having a laugh.

Kudat METAR around time of crash WBKT 100700Z 27017G31KT 210V300 9999 SCT014 BKN280 30/24 Q1008 WBKT 100600Z 27015G25KT 230V320 9999 FEW015 BKN280 31/24 Q1008 If the a/c was taking off/landing runway 22, then the crosswind component gusts to about 23 knots from the right, but it crashed on the north side, which is confusing, unless something went wrong with the propeller pitch mechanism on starboard engine? Wonder what's the maximum demonstrated crosswind component for the Twin Otter?

Wonder why too, thought it's a must for cases like these? -
Landed short, overshot, skidded off runway, crash-landed which one is it?! Glad there's no fatalities. Owner of house might have had a mini heart attack though.

Newitt replied to Mulyadir Fitri's topic in General Aviation
So MH2 butting in was unnecessary radio chatter. -

KLM RTB, Needed To Dump Fuel, With A Little Help From MH2
Newitt replied to Mulyadir Fitri's topic in General Aviation
I don't get it, in what way did MH2 assist? Relaying ATC calls? Scanning the sky ahead for weather? Controller needs to brush up on his English a little... and his accent too. -
Malaysia Airlines slapping me with 734s and old 738s.
Newitt replied to Danial's topic in General Aviation
I have a Going Places issue that featured the -700 in MASTAR colours on its cover, off to my storeroom. Wonder if a grand send off is in the pipe line for the last 734 flight when the day comes?
