It is pretty difficult not to have the name 'Malaysia'. After all, it is a national icon/airline (well, it may change in the near future). I, for one, am wishing for a comeback of the old red color scheme, or the old livery done in another color, blue perhaps. 'Malaysian Airways' wins my vote.

I think it'd be great if they revert to the old red colour scheme with the red wau.

Air Malaysia, Malaysian Airways? Don't really fancy having 'Royal' in it... In any case there's no escaping using the name Malaysia. People will always remember Malaysia as something to do with the crashes of the century. 540 lives, that's comparable to the Tenerife collision.

It was all good until a certain athlete decided to wear gloves bearing some statement and got admonished, albeit with good intentions, it still went against the sporting spirit. I'd say that kinda negated the uniform display at the opening a little bit.

From the pics splashed about on the net I don't think the bodies were treated with the respect and dignity they deserve. They seem to be piled up haphazardly on train cars and open flatbed lorries.

That video is horrifying. Airplane appears to be in a steady uncontrollable dive. Can't imagine what it's like in the cabin, pilots struggling to regain control. This is mass murder. Malaysia should probably review diplomatic ties with Russia if it's true the separatists are backed by them. All those angkasawan program, goes out the window now, just my sentiments.

I should probably clarify that I was talking about crash gates along the airfield perimeter, and private vehicle access to the apron. Was sitting in my a/c at Skypark when an MPV was cleared into the apron with nary a pat down of the occupants nor even a cursory check under the vehicle. And when you're a "higher up" yourself, the MAB "higher ups" seemed indifferent when you set off the metal detector

It's actually very easy to pull off given the level of security at any Malaysian airport.
