  1. Having more frequency to choose from is a plus since a lot of passengers are transiting via KUL from the smaller cities in the country.
  2. LATAM Airlines Group, parent of TAM and LAN Airlines, has chosen membership in oneworld over Star Alliance for both carriers. Holding an estimated 40% share of the South American air passenger market, LATAM is making one of the more consequential alliance membership decisions of recent years. Chilean antitrust authorities required LATAM to leave one of the alliances when it approved the merger of Chiles LAN and Brazils TAM in 2011. LAN is a oneworld member while TAM belongs to Star. TAM will leave Star in the second quarter of 2014, LATAM said in a Thursday statement making the decision official. Signs have pointed to LATAM choosing oneworld for some time. 5. No I did not book it. Flyertalk has a thread discussing this too. And apparently MU is in the process of changing their booking class and from 1 July onwards Z class will be discounted ECONOMY class that doesn't earn any points on their (and partner) FFP. Sigh seems like it'll be a while before I can be on business class... Flyertalk discussion thread: http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/mileage-run-discussion/1425611-mu-china-eastern-fra-pvg-sub-900-z-nov-dec-2013-cancel-since-its-economy.html MU booking class changes: http://www.easternmiles.com/bn/miles/mu_flight.jsp I noticed this too but when I search on flightradar24, it says that MU is using FM's 767 on these routes.
  6. I was looking for flights to China during end of September on skyscanner and I chance upon this: A return (SIN-PVG-SIN) on MU Business Class (Z class) for 525.80 SGD! This fare is available on website like zuji, expedia, cheapoair.. I wasn't able to find this fare on www.ceair.com as they suspended booking for flights after 28 June 2013 temporarily. Is this a reliable booking? It is very tempting though haha.. Any advice? P/S: I hope I post this is the right section, if not, dear moderator please feel free to move this to the correct one.
  7. May I ask why are there 'hybrid' livery aircraft? Who actually owns them?
  8. Yeah I am pretty sure Malaysia has better looking people...
  9. Yeah my favourite MH643 is missing from the list! And according to the site, MH will be opening a new KCH-SIN-KCH flight. KCH-SIN flight as MH 647 departing at 1925 and SIN-KCH as MH 646 departing at 2155 *yipeeeeee* MH647 is in the list while MH643 is not there!???
  10. Or rather 16 flights daily? Currently there are already 12 flights daily. And by increasing the frequency on those four days that will make 16 flights daily?
  11. 3x MX birds laying over in KCH tonight! MXD, MXI and MXJ (:
  12. So finally its time for Budget Terminal to close down. Last flight scheduled to be at tonight 2am. I will definitely miss this terminal, as I had been using it quite a bit, linking me to and from home. And I think my most expensive budget carrier ticket was purchased from this very terminal. A S$300 for a one way TR flight back to KCH, cause I idiotically missed by AK flight. So long Budget Terminal! Looking forward to flying those budget carrier from T2 and also even more looking forward to the new T4 in the near future (: A not-very-nice iconic 'Boarding Gates' picture I took during my last departure out of Budget Terminal, bound for HKT, in June. Anyone else has any other sentiments towards Singapore's Budget Terminal?

  18. This is pretty ridiculous but at the same time hilarious much (: Seems like quite a bit of 'interesting' happenings in Europe: Body found on British Airways flight to Heathrow A body has been found inside a jumbo jet landing at Heathrow Airport. The body was discovered in the landing gear bay of a British Airways Boeing 747 after it arrived at the London airport from Cape Town, South Africa. BA said it was liaising with South African authorities over the discovery, which was made at about 06:25 BST on Thursday. A spokesman said: "This is a very rare and sad event and our thoughts are with the individual's family." He continued: "We are liaising with the South African authorities and Cape Town airport after a body was found in the landing gear bay of one of our aircraft. "They are investigating how this incident took place, which involved a Boeing 747 which arrived this morning from Cape Town." The death is being treated as non-suspicious. Inquiries are being made to establish the man's identity. Scaling fence The Metropolitan Police said the body was that of a man who was not a member of the jumbo jet's crew or a passenger on the flight. It is believed the dead man could be a person who was spotted scaling the fence at Cape Town International Airport on Wednesday night before heading towards a BA flight getting ready to take off. Airports Company South Africa (ACSA), which runs the airport, said it was carrying out an investigation. An ACSA spokesman said: "The airport immediately responded and, as a security patrol officer attempted to apprehend the man, he ran in the direction of a British Airways aircraft already in its holding pattern ready for take-off. "For safety reasons the security officer could not approach the aircraft. A search of the airfield was immediately conducted but the person was not found. "British Airways, in addition to various other parties, were notified. Further sweeps were conducted of the runway and the broader airfield. "This morning, reports from London's Heathrow Airport confirmed that a stowaway was found on board a British Airways aircraft. The person was found dead. "Airports Company South Africa is concerned about the loss of life and thus views this incident in the utmost serious light. A full investigation will be undertaken." source: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-london-19359935
