  1. With the new FB profile picture and the launching event slated on this Friday, 30th Jan at Kuching as posted on the website...let's awaits what direction are they heading...
  2. Cikgu the thing is you cannot see that in their booking engine, NO 7x daily is shown Waiting too...Wander when they will place some ATR's or even B737 in East Malaysia....
  3. https://secure.malindoair.com/MalindoAirLoyalty/About.aspx Anyone joining? Nothing details on the website on accruals rate...
  4. For flights between Peninsular and East Malaysia, from what I see in the MHupgrade page; the system would give you RM 250 as "the minimum amount to success in the bid" and up to a maximum of RM 450. I think anyone can submit below RM 250, but probability of being approved is VERY LOW.
  5. Anymore OD's ATR coming in for the remaining two months of 2014? I wander do they really intend to start turboprops hub in East Malaysia or not...
  6. I got the email invitation for bidding the upgrade as well for my flight to KUL next week from Sarawak though booked on O class fares...I guess as long as the Business Class got seats remained unsold, all economy class ticket holders would get an invitation to bid for it. I just log on the hyperlink to have a look about what's this program is all about only...
  7. New in the drop down screen, Bandung and Singapore...nothing inside the booking engine returned a result of flights and fares options yet... KBR from KLIA2 is now opened, effective winter scedules 2014 (end of Oct)... I really hope they do placed one or two ATR's in East Malaysia soooon....
  8. You still get this "treatment" nowadays with MASwings' MH 3806, the only difference is that it is in the reverse direction. I do it 2 to 3 times before. Really great way to spend a couple of hours...haha... The F50 "golden era" in Malaysia had end for at least 5 years, and now this airline is bringing them back....Well, let's see how they perform with the Dutch Lady again...Aircraft type is pretty old by now...
  9. I wander where they gonna source for 2nd hand F50 when ATR's had dominated most turbprops market around the world...
  10. http://www.malaysia-chronicle.com/index.php?option=com_k2&view=item&id=337471:in-revamp-mas-may-be-broken-up-with-project-sapphire-making-comeback&Itemid=3#axzz3A52ZYk9b "Project Sapphire" making a return? Wait and see... From my two cents, best option is still consolidate turboprops in ONE single brand, ONE single business model (Fireflyz mode of operation); then another ONE for narrow-body operation, more leaning towards LCC; leaving the "mother" for wide-body services... Neverthless, just see wait "recipes" they will be cooking up for Malaysia Airlines after delisting...
  11. Four new ATR routes as the grow their turboprop services at a faster pace that the Jets: PEN-KBV-PEN SZB-KBV-SZB PEN-JHB-PEN SZB-KUA-SZB
  12. Wait and see, Malaysia being new playground for new carriers...Let's see how this airline would work out by basing at Melaka airport... (PS: and BTW, their map is really funny...Kuching being shifted to point near Sibu...wakaka...)
  13. That is the thing i want to ask, reports says the piece that detached were found left at BKI upon take off...wouldn't it affect BKI operation safety?? 30 minutes is a "quick" flight so to say...but believe passengers who were sitting inside the cabin will feel the "stress" with the naked engine as shown in today's local press...

  15. http://www.thestar.com.my/News/Nation/2014/06/14/MAS-retires-737-400-series/
  16. ATR 42-300 & ATR 42-500 CANNOT be first hand and fresh from the factory, ATR is already making 600 series for both ATR 42 & ATR 72... Precisely...
  17. http://www.malaysiaairlines.com/my/en/mh-experience/mhgourmet.html Maybe this is one of the way to reboot? Nice idea though...
  18. Yes, late March alongside with MYY-PEN-MYY; when those school children were having their holidays. I hope MYY-PEN-MYY can sustain and grow, load factors should be ok for PEN, short advance purchase price seems to be on rocket high fares brackets. I believe Air Asia was trying on the oil folks response between the two cities...
  19. Anyone got a try on the fresh new look? Pre-book baggage allowance is now officially incorporated in, though the rates are not that cheap; but well at least the customers have a choice already (rather than having to pay excess baggages fees at airport counters)... Also, East Malaysia operation now remain KCH & BKI with twice daily frequencies only... SZB-PEN-SZB sectors are going head to head with FY, frequencies up a lot...
  20. Referring to the link given in the latest E-statement which goes to Enrich Members Email account:- http://clients.euromsg.com/i/amadeus/140508/LastMinuteUpdate.html Can someone tell me how can an economy class passenger have access to those Golden Lounges (other than purchasing or redeeming an access)? How to get this type of upgrade?
  21. How is Malindo doing now? East Malaysia market remained KCH and BKI with reduced frequencies and SBW is set to close soon... How many new planes are they going to take this year? Anyone has any idea?
  22. 1. Consolidate turboprops services into one brand and expanding it, positioning itself as a hybrid carrier. Point: Get people to fly on secondary routes (be it in West Malaysia or East Malaysia), which does not justify a narrowbody jet service. For East Malaysia RAS, no point for charging premium fares but no one want to fly and still putting on subsidy on it. 2. Explore smaller Jets option, introducing more linkage between points within Malaysia. Point: There are ample of monopoly routes by Air Asia within our home front now, I mean load factor is there; the only thing is that offering the right products; or else I don't think why AK group can keep on introducing more routes for the convenience of the public. 3. Re-established a low cost subsidiary. 4. Get the right planes to fly for long haul, instead of keep reducing international routes. 5. Restricting narrowbody fleets to fly on routes where the flying time is over 4 hours from point of origin, people usually go for widebody option should other points of consideration when choosing a flight are almost the same.
  23. Highly likely they are scrapping it if you cannot find anything from Mon to Sun...just as in MYY case...reflected in the booking engines first before being confirmed...
