Like how Jannar has explained, HM is really improving. With the way things are going, any new batches who join would not have to worry about delays because the backlog is only till batch 18. HMA has started their integrated training module with batch 19 and looks like those guys wont be delayed at all. From the time i came till the present day, changes over changes has taken place, and i somehow something tells me the current management is doing a good job in bringing HM back on the road. So now we will just wait and see if they can walk the talk. After all in aviation nothing has ever been certain. Its always full of surprises..

Oh yes we ARE busy.. there's hardly time to come online man..MAS batch 12 is doing their CA6 , which will come to and end soon, MAS batch 13 just came to HMA on the 23rd Oct. Batch 6 graduated today (26th Oct).The school has really picked up its pace. everyone is flying and delays are a thing of the past. new scheduled dates for graduation is up and the way things are being pushed it looks like they wont stray far from those dates. Very positive environment here so far , so HM is going good, at least for now! As for me, im enjoying myself..

I dont think so Chong. Thier minimum qualificaion is A-levels or a Diploma. If you have a degree, you have a BIG plus point.

Well that article has a little truth in it. For an example , in my 9 flights this past 4 months from LGK to KUL and KUL to LGK, 8 of the flights were RETIMED. Well I appreciate the fact that they send an SMS saying that your flight is RETIMED early enough rather than finding out that your flight is delayed when you are at the airport ready to check in. However my point is, if the so called RETIME is so frequent, why not permanently change the schedule?. And its not only on my flights this happens. Im pratically everyday at the airport in LGK and almost everyday the flights are RETIMED. So why not change the schedule a bit later so that passengers know before hand about the timings that have changed and making it easier for them to plan their journey and appointments? The RETIME is always an hour and a half all the time so why not adjust the daily flights schedule so that people dont have to book flights which would be RETIMED in the end? Flying with them is great ecspecially when u get great deals on ticket prices.But sometimes it gets to you when your 8.15 flight has been RETIMED to 11.25 ..like today.. So right now im at the airport waiting fo my flight which is RETIMED. ive got not much complaints because i have no important appointments. Just that if i had reached home earlier i could made friday night a little bit productive ... Just my two cents. Do correct me if I am wrong anywhere.. cheers

I would say its a lovely place Wong.Nice and quiet ,plus the beach is fantastic. Things are improving in HMA compared to few months ago and to me classes are pretty interesting. Did fall asleep once or twice though..cant help it la bro.. Sometimes things get routine so you do end up feeling boring, but overall I am really having fun. I just finished my DCAT now and im on a so called course break for 3 weeks. Starting my CA6 on the 3rd of September.. How bout you bro? How long you online already?

First of all Winson, Welcome to MalaysianWings. Really nice to see my schoolmate having the same dreams. There is no such thing as discovering your passion late la bro..it comes when it comes. Im not really sure bout when MAS will open its windows again, but MAS surely need cadets for the next few years. Dont worry about the over flooding of cadets because MAS has already done its homework well before they even selected us. They may freeze intake for a few months or something but they surely wont stop taking in pilots. So just look out for the adverts frequently and just send in one application to MAS now. They may respond to you and who knows they still have slots to fill. So just get your application done, send one in and keep your fingers crossed. Last but not least, a note to our friendly KK Lee.. Know your facts before you talk bro. No offence but pulling cabels and strings does not work anymore in MAS. For your useful information, no matter who you know in the airline, you still start of with your Physcomotor test and you will have to work yourself up till your medical check up. MAS does take a look at recommended applications, but there is no surety of success. Hope that clears your doubt on the Mesti Ada Saudara policy. If that policy was true i wonder how the 16 people in my batch got selected. None of us knew any saudara.. Anyways Winson..keep at it and you will get there someday.See you when i get back man..Good luck..

it doesnt matter which aircraft you fly actually, its all in the mindset. I guess its true about being absorbed into the other fleets because cadets nowadays were taking it for granted, failing papers and having dicipline problems. So the HR proposed for this to be implented again. So the elite will go the the 737 while the rest will start from the props. Well, in the end, they just want us to work hard, and flying the props wouldnt be that bad after all.. New A/C, new things, new challenges, and new possibilties..

Gosh.. Looks like when the noise polution problems arises, they will separate the cabin to non-mobile and mobile. and ask for an extra 20 if you want a quiet flight..

Whatever said and done, the wishlist is unlike MAS. Lets just wait and see what happens. Most probably it will be announced at Lima.
