Agree with you.. but with the jet ops seemed to earned more and more critics and complaints, it's something they might want to look into first. -
Malindo Air ATR 72-600 Hub @ Subang Skypark
Mohd Firdaus Bolong replied to Naim's topic in General Aviation
I think they should really have concentrated on their jets first, to be honest. It's not that FY is "abusing" their monopoly on the Subang props ops and mind you, people LOVE flying on FY's AT72. -
Finally the thread for my hometown airport..but to spot at this airport is one hell of a chore, 30 min drive from town..the old airport was the best..unobstruxted view to the runway/tarmac.

Jakarta's Soekarno-Hatta airport to undergo expansion
Mohd Firdaus Bolong replied to flee's topic in General Aviation
They're planning airport train service for that...It's the intracity toll roads which are the most annoying..Whenever I'm departing out of CGK, I'll make sure 3 things, Blue colored taxi (they're punctual and trusted), depart from home at least 3 hours before flight and NEVER leave anything important behind, you won't have time to turn back.. -
Lion Air and NADI announced a JV - Malindo Air
Mohd Firdaus Bolong replied to BC Tam's topic in General Aviation
Am nervous of the prospect of flying on this airline end of this month..heard it's quite a trend now to merge 2 flights together with the later flight sacrificed and worse still some pax weren't informed causing them to miss their flights.. Anyone else heard of the issues? -
so now it's MXB and MXC with ONEworld logo?

it's a common practice in Indonesian carriers to give those kind of meals. Sriwijaya, Batavia. I dont expect grand snacks to be served with such low ticket price. -

2012 Aircraft Deliveries to MAS Group and AirAsia Group
Mohd Firdaus Bolong replied to flee's topic in General Aviation
I'm quite confused now...pls correct me if I'm wrong friends... the 738s of ML- series are leased and are without the sky interior. the MX series are all owned by PMB/MAS and all have the sky interior.. Am I right? and considering the growing numbers of ML series together with MX series I reckon are we phasing out the 734s so fast that we need to lease the 738s to replace them? thanks -
Spotting at Soekarno-Hatta Jakarta Int'l Airport
Mohd Firdaus Bolong replied to ivanindra's topic in Observation Hill
sriwijaya's PK CLD is 2nd of the 735 I believe. They're revamping their aircrafts and offering Business Class now especially on those new 735s and 738. Gosh I miss Jakarta and Indonesian airlines, colorful liveries, classic aircrafts.. -

When MH says: No more widebodies for domestic
Mohd Firdaus Bolong replied to CH Teo's topic in General Aviation
Anyone remembered back in 90s when Fokker 50 served this route for a 4hrs flight? Anyway, with the incoming 738s more or less the capacity is well covered.so no more A330s needed..And is it also because MH are retiring its older A330s? -
Anyone can cpnfirm if the full length parallel taxiway is completed/operational? wonder if a 747 use it its wings would be jutting out of the fence as it looks very near to the parallel road...

Sriwijaya eyes China and Australia routes with new 737-800s
Mohd Firdaus Bolong replied to flee's topic in General Aviation
Flew on SJ a few times while I was in Indonesia...The on-time performance is very good and the services too..add that to the bonus of flying on 737-200ADV..Love every minute of it.. -
Sky Aviation is one of the up and coming airlines of Indonesia..and hey really meant business by the way they conduct themselves and in terms of route planning.. Sukhoi Super Jets coming next year for them and if the MKZ route remains which I think it will as they aren't one of those carriers who flew to a destination and stop after 2 months, then it should get interesting for our spotters..

Airports' & Airlines' Operational Statistics
Mohd Firdaus Bolong replied to Mohd Azizul Ramli's topic in General Aviation
Strange not seeing Jakarta in the top 30 of passengers movement there where as I think they're in the top 20 of plane movement per year..Any ways good number for KLIA. -
I'm quite astounded by the fact that the Sabah and Sarawak Govts wants a share in the MasWings. 1.These right here are the people who knew the flight demands of their respective states either intrastate, interstate between Sarawak and Sabah and also to and from Peninsula especially KUL..which bring us to point 2. 2.Have you noticed how absurd it is the ticket price of AK for example BKI-KUL route now that Firefly is not serving us? Some who commute between KUL and BKI notices this especially me, with landing at the Pudu Air Terminal or otherwise known as LCCT making it all the more harder to reach KL city. 3.I wonder people who talk about rakyat's money and all really knows what they're talking about. These state govts are trying to help the people of Borneo and giving them more options of cheaper flights rather than having one airline sucking up all the profits of being the only airline to have hub in Kota Kinabalu and then flying to destinations like Taipei,Jakarta,Bali and Clark among others. And let's not dive into politics now, let's discuss all of this from airline users point of view.

Yup sad indeed! If continuously nurtured, it could be a potential best low cost in Asia in the near future. It is just so so sad that someone kills it! Agree with both of you. Low cost with passenger comfort.
