One thing which is out of MH's control is the image of Malaysia (as a country) abroad. The public general perception towards Malaysia especially in developed countries definately doesnt help MH in getting more pax, particular premium pax. I believe this has worsen post 1998 due to the political situation in Malaysia. I have friends still believe Malaysia is in dictatorship state (this is their perception of Malaysia thru media although they have not been to Malaysia). Without knowing MH well, joe public may think MH's service and safety is sub-par with other legacy carriers.

Now I think of it perhaps he was talking about entire B737 fleet instead of B737-400 series ? I have no internet access back then that I could source the information

The last B734 flight from PEN to KUL carried 85 pax and 10 crews. The crew number seems high. Anyway, B734 has been a good and reliable workhorse for MH and it is good to see MH enters a new era of -800. I still remember I was at SZB terminal 3 talking to a spotter from Germany around year 1996. I mentioned MH was the biggest B734 operator outside USA. The Geman guy did not agree and pulled out a booklet with Lufthansa fleet information (incl. aircraft types and rego numbers) saying LH had more B734 than MH at that time

2 pax transit in Redang ? SIN-RDN-SZB ? And there were only 24 international pax (arrival + departure) in Q1 at RDN. Wonder how is Berjaya Air doing on its SIN-RDN route ?

Not using aerobridge ? How is the overnight parking at KLIA2 nowadays ? Has KLIA2 got enough parking bays for AK's plane ?

Perhaps it is new technology installed at KLIA2 to prevent staff from falling asleep while on duty ?

AK planes are certified for parking at bays with depressions

If AK includes the cost into the ticket price and raise the ticket base price by RM3 (not showing RM3 as a separate tax / charge / fee or whatever you call it), will that close the issue ?

I was in LCCT yesterday morning for a D7 flight. The lines at the immigration counters seem ok. One thing I would like to comment is D7 check in counter. The check in process was slow. The agents have to enter passport details into the system manually even though the pax have already done online check in. There were no separate lines for online check in as well. I also noticed the agents have their ***ss sticked on the chairs all the time. They even asked the pax to position the luggage handle facing to them so that they can put on the destination tagswhile sitting on the chairs, without having their **ss leaving the chairs

Glad to see a smooth operation of KLIA2 on its opening days. I guess the real test will be on 9/5/14 when AK/D7 starts operation from there

I saw two AK's A320 park at KLIA2 terminal when I landed at KLIA on Friday 25/4. Were the two A320s still there ?

From google street view, yes there is a bus stop. When u click on the bus stop icon on the map, it shows the bus service at this stop is 303 and X03

I would suggest : A. Near SYD control tower. Access from Ross Smith Ave B. Near weather station. Access from General Holmes Drive and turn into Kyeemagh Ave C. Along the beach near C Side restaurant. Access from General Holmes Drive Unfortnatuly i have no idea about public transport there

Can a turboprop engine plane such as ATR72 flies with one engine ?

A question : did MH370 fly pass Thai air space as well at the southern part of of Thailand ?
