  1. Investors aren't pleased though.
  2. That livery on the A380-800 is so blue though. I mean it is not the bright type of blue, it's the type of blue that makes people feel blue. And currently people are already feeling very blue about MAS.
  3. Personally i do not see a need to change its name. In case you hadn't noticed, major news broadcasters such as CNN, BBC World etc. are referring MH17 as Malaysia flight 17. When people hear or see the word Malaysia, people will always link it back to Malaysia Airlines and to change its name to Air Malaysia or Malaysia Airways will not make any material difference, not unless they are willing to drop the name Malaysia altogether.
  4. It flies back to PUS at 2.35am. The 6 (Saturday) is missing from Zul's post.
  5. MAS is politics ? That's news! Anyway, it is already 22nd July 2014 and the opening ceremony falls on 24th July 2014. So far we haven't heard anything on this. So i guess it is a no-go ? I boarded an MAS flight approximately 10 hours after MH17 went down (last Friday morning Malaysian Time). I was in total disbelief and my hands were shaking as i typed the message about this terrible accident to a few good friends of mine when i learned of the news at 11.20pm on that horrible day. I am sure everyone working at MAS was just as shocked but it wasn't showing at all, at least not on any of the crew members working on that morning flight i took to KUL. They were still smiling at everyone, and for some reason, crew on that morning flight were all unusually friendlier than usual. I thought that was really professional of them. If by carrying our flag through the Commonwealth Games opening ceremony parade can somehow lift up their spirit, i do not see how this is a bad thing. After all there were 10 British onboard that ill-fated flight. It will be even better if they could work out something with the organizer such as to observe one minute of silence in memory of those murdered on MH17 last week.
  6. Flightradar24 had clarified that no other transcontinental flight flew over Syrian airspace other than MH004 on that particular day. MEA is the only foreign airline that is still using Syrian airspace.
  7. I understand Asiana Airlines do not have enough 333 or 772 to launch anymore new routes in the near future.
  8. Believe these are the few that are not avoiding taking MAS or boycotting anything Malaysian. However, my cousin who is a tourist guide in KK told me that business is still very bad now.
  9. Because of the meals they serve on flights within SEA perhaps ? Absolutely nothing 5-star about that at all. True You can get BKI-LHR and return from CDG-BKI ticket for just RM2300 last year! That's the kind of air fare that KL/AF couldn't beat. Last year i paid just RM700 for a BKI-KIX ticket too. And i have also booked a return ticket (BKI-HKG) a week ago for next month travel, all for just RM457/pax! You can buy a return BKI-TPE ticket for just RM550 too last week. You can also buy a return ticket from KUL to SYD for only RM1301 two days ago. By the way, KL/AF seem to be doing better than LH and it is probably because KL/AF are deploying aircraft with more Y seats whereas most of LH aircraft have plenty of premium seats and that doesn't play too well with KUL. I was very surprised when AF started flying to KUL with a 4-class 772. Anyway, they have now changed to a 3-class 772 with more Y seats which is definitely a better fit than a 4-class 772. You are spot on, Mr. Lee
  10. I saw it too on my way back to my house this morning from Sri Kepayan/Ridgeview. It was 9.05am
  11. It looks like V8-DLA has just left BKI and is now on its way back to BWN. V8-DLD is now getting ready for take-off too.
  12. Cathay Pacific Airways confirmed days ago that they will move to Terminal 4 once completed.
  13. That's a lot of new seats they will have to order. Believe they will just reduce the current seat pitch (C from 75" to the original planned 60" and Y from 34" to 32").
  14. Charter service by China Airlines between Japan and Kota Kinabalu in August 2014. Nagoya - Kota Kinabalu CI7873 NGO2155 - 0210+BKI 9th Aug 14 CI7874 BKI0255 - 0855NGO 13th Aug 14 Fukuoka - Kota Kinabalu CI7875 FUK2120 - 0105+BKI 13th Aug 14 CI7876 BKI0310 - 0900FUK 17th Aug 14
  15. Yes. Of course. There are so many of them.
  16. Sometimes MAS booking engine is slow to update the type of the operating aircraft.
  17. Any idea when they will return all the non-BSI 738 ?
  18. Woah! AAX share price is up 11% today despite the RM11.3 million loss in Q1 2014. Congrats to all AAX shareholders
