So, MH is hoping to turn around more domestic routes after announcing that only 4 were profitable. Looks like most routes are in place. All the capital cities bar Ipoh are kept within arms reach. I wonder how much the price hike would be. Interesting to see how 'rightsizing' of staff and fleet would be like now.

I think its the cutlery, the food, tableware and the service delivery itself. No more 'pick and choose buffet' from a tray but rather like a restaurant where you order food off a menu and its delivered to you course by course individually. Takes more time but you get more attention.

I saw a 744 take off from subang towards KLIA friday evening. Looks like another reconfigured 744.

Anyone know why 9M-MPR has the full -MPR on the front gear door? Don't MAS 744's have 2 'decimal places' e.g PA,PB?

With regard to the new 1st class and biz class themesongs, where do MAS play them, aside from the ads on MAStv on the Japan website? I would love to see them play the song on certain flights say, MH001. Cabin crew would be tired of hearing it tho.

I only have the original. Very 80/90-ish if you ask me. Drums sound hollow and techno. I have other MH music tho. On my cellphone too. Nice to daydream with while on the shuttle bus to college. Another one they played during x-mas was 'Carol of the bells'. I have that too. I played the song on wm10 and realised it was the exact one that was on one of my in-flight videos that I took earlier. 12 chinese chicks aye? Sounds like 12 girls band to me. Have you heard of 'Liu San Jie' by the band? Its mesmerizing. Quite apt if played on flights to say Beijing.

My flights in April/May are MH2528 and MH2507, on Saturday and Sunday respectively. It is an a330 now but when i'm flying its downgraded to a 734 both ways. Damned!

Man, oh man. I just read the report. Increasing seats in Y class? Damn. So by the report 'new products' and 'new planes' are coming in year 3. So i'm guessing thats 2009. A380 arrives 2007. So they'll fly two years with the current F/C product and then they'll replace them? Jeez. The painful truth aye?

I'm guessing the profitable domestic ones (4 out o 118 domestic routes) are KCH, BKI, PEN and JHB?

I took the same plane on the same flight 2 weeks ago. Damn.

My pre-u results was my multipurpose passport. I used it for both the psychomotor and 'uni' entrance. Doing the American degree transfer programme so I am not really attached to any uni at the moment. Will do when I transfer. Who wants to join me? You can join right after f5! anyway, I called HR yesterday and they were like "No news". I think the following might have happened. 1.I failed the test and they didn;t want to tell me. 2. The OMR machine (the one that reads the testpapers, the type you get during PMR,SPM kinda thing) has failed and they have to mark them by hand. They had hinted at that when we had our 20 minute break. Oh, well. Life's like that. I'm still lucky I got to go for psychometrics a day after psychomotors,

Well, I called HR last week and this week and the results for november were ready and mine isn't. Or maybe I failed and they didnt want to tell me. Haha. I really don't know. I was really psyched about the possibilities of flying after I took the test but now, i'm excited about the possibilities of studying abroad too, now that college has started. I'm currently taking aeronautical engineering (konon-lah), now stil doing the basics. freshman year la, sad. My backup plan, if I don;t fly, at least its still aviation-oriented. So thats it. I'm still waiting. I'm half-dying to find out tho.

The first row has awesome legroom, no doubt. Why is row 2 in biz positioned so close to row 1?

I used to be scared shitless of turbulence due to a bad experience over the phillipines where I floated for a few seconds on the way back from the loo (no seat belt sign). Now however, its kind of fun having the plane shake about. I love rainy takeoffs and cloudy landings. On my last KCH-KUL flight last week, we taxied on the runway as i think the captain overshot the turn to the (only) taxiway tight past an AK flight which taxied earlier then we did. That was fun. When I landed last Saturday, we missed the exit to the taxiway near runway 7 and made a 180 degree turn and taxied on the runway. Again.

Psychomotor...hmm. there were 3 of us at 10am and there were 4 people before us. With 2 more sceduled at 11am. 8 people took the psychometric test. I used my Canadian Pre-University results to enter.

I passed. Proceeding to the next test, the psychometric ones tomorrow.
