First time trying to "new" MAS lounge today. Liked the old one better - had views, better food and more spacious. Spent like 10 minutes on a call and hopped over to the Plaza Premium Lounge instead for a Tiger beer

Maybe the timing of the turnback and lost of communication is just a coincidence but I find it a "big coincidence" that it happened right after the passover between Malaysia to Vietnam ATC. Maybe it just really is an accident (cargo fire?) and really hoping they find the wreckage/black box so we can really know what happened.

Lol! A similar incident happened to a flight my wife was supposed to get on a couple of months ago in Miri. Apparently, somed10t decided to open the emergency doors on landing.. Plenty of crazy people in Miri?

The argument was on the merger will benefit TF and his friends is a non-starter IMHO. Yea, that might be true but what options does MAS have since it is loosing money anyway. MAS simply cannot get its act together. How hard can this be - sometimes simple common sense and logic works. Maybe a bunch of mwingers could even do a better job. So what's next for MAS? Agree that SQ, EK, TG, etc are just having a field day with this..

Looks like A380 pulled from KUL? I had a flight booked in A380 and flight got changed to a 773ER. Can't seem to find any A380 flights in April..

Just stepped through the airport yesterday and I must say, things are looking much better already. Can't wait for everything to get completed.

I think this is just a horrible program. The earn/rate ratio is simply horrible. I think I did the math right: It currently offers a RM100 Air Asia eVoucher (which should be able to be used for Air Asia tickets) for 8000 Biggies. Earn rate is 1 biggie for every rm4. That means one would have to spend rm32,000 before earning a rm100 voucher! If you do add-on, you earn 1 biggie for rm2. That's still rm16000 for a rm100 eVoucher! Much longer rant on my blog.

Yup, was a pleasure meeting Naim in KLIA. We were on the same KUL-DOH-OSL flight. Hopefully both of us get to see the Aurora tomorrow!

Oslo is one of the pretties cities I've been in. No regrets visiting especially for a ~1.3k fare. Am in Tromso right now and things don't look good for Aurora hunting. My tour just got cancelled as the weather doesn't look good. Hoping things clears up tomorrow but very unlikely..

Couldn't resist and gave in to temptation. Too good of a deal to let slip. 2 nights in Oslo and 2 nights in Tromso - taken too much holidays already and this was the most I could squeeeze in. Here's hoping to catch the Aurora...
