  1. so is going to be like Jetstar then? heard also they will offer WiFi on board.
  2. the ticket price i presume - seeing most of the tickets from the RA was really discounted?
  3. But knowing Tan Sri TF, some noise will be made. Although will the E-jets be a problem maybe - no aerobridge?
  4. Flight delay as man jumps off moving plane MIRI: A man jumped out of a moving aircraft while it was about to take off. Air Asia flight AK 5187 from Miri to Kuala Lumpur was scheduled to take off at 7.40pm yesterday. However, it was delayed for over an hour as a result of the runway drama. A witness said that as the plane was about to take off, the man suddenly opened the emergency doors and leapt out. “The raft automatically opened. Other passengers started screaming. The plane was brought to a halt,” said flight passenger Siva Nathiran. AirAsia’s regional head of flight operations Captain Datuk Fareh Ishraf Mazputra said the aircraft had just started taxing when a passenger ran and opened the door. “There were no injuries and the passenger was arrested,” he said. The man was then taken to Miri hospital. Sources said the man, believed to be aged 24, did not suffer any injuries as a result of the fall. Miri police chief Asst Comm Mun Kock Keong said police were in the midst of piecing together the details of the incident. http://thestar.com.my/news/story.asp?file=/2012/8/4/nation/11796210&sec=nation __________ Didnt this happen in Vietnam recently? O.o
  5. Flee, if you see the first picture that MAR posted, you can see the pitch is incredible. but this is more like Y+ than Premium Y.
  6. My only comment - Why is 9M-MNA is so small on the plane? thought it would be bigger?
  7. You know, from the video posted (which looks good btw) i think i know WHY the wau is so up there. Go to point 1:12. the a330 landing. even at landing you can see the wau is intact, not covered by the wings. But then that is just me. also the biggest thing that is bugging me - why ALL airlines stop painting around the part where the wings and underbelly meets the body? As someone said here - it makes it look incomplete. only flat paint can go on that part ke?
  8. oh yes! a tail cam! also from this picture: https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=417731664934150&set=a.417731614934155.95525.185723778134941&type=1&ref=nf only the headrest is leather. and look at the size of the screen in Y!
  9. because the new livery was not part of the original price for this one. kena do it after delivery.
  10. One day i shall meet with capt TK. do they rotate the planes that you get assigned, or you have specific planes regos under your name?
  11. not really. the only reason changi feels close is because singapore is small - they cant make it further away. HKIA is already the same distance as KLIA.
  12. here is a question - why is that white bulging part (which i assume is the housing for the landing gears and fuel tank) cant be painted over?
  13. An update on the apron. 9M-FZA has lost its body colour. tinggal its fin aje orange. would take a picture of it but i was sitting on the portside in my EVA air flight just now so didnt have the chance to snap.
  14. sorry bro. Took it with my iPhone, and it was too far away from anjung tinjau. plus it was at night
  15. just got back from KLIA. Saw the plane that bought Cameron here. weirdly enough, the plane is parked at A2. is it because of the size?
  16. Question: where did the press release say that the old livery will stay? O.o either i am blind or i cant see it.
  17. Malaysia Airlines unveils A380 configuration; to receive aircraft in June by Mavis Toh Malaysia Airlines has unveiled the design and specifications of its first Airbus A380-800 aircraft. The aircraft, to be delivered in the middle of June, will have a new livery on its exterior, said the airline. The aircraft will have 494 seats in a three-class configuration - eight in first class, 66 in business and 420 in economy. The business class seats, together with 70 economy seats, will be on the aircraft's upper deck. The A380 will be put into service on 1 July on thrice-weekly flights between Kuala Lumpur and London. "The aircraft is currently with Airbus for final touches before a handover to us," added a spokesman. First class seats on the aircraft will have a seat pitch of 85 inches (216cm) and a 87-inch lie-flat bed. The aircraft will also be fitted with the Thales in-flight entertainment system and seats in all classes will have a USB port and a satellite telephone facility. The carrier is also planning to operate its second A380 on the Kuala Lumpur-London route and to fly its third aircraft on the Kuala Lumpur-Sydney route. "The investment in this latest aircraft, its technology, futuristic style and innovative design in cabin comfort are our initiatives to ensure that our passengers continue to experience an exciting new level of comfort, luxury and convenience. This is the identity that will move us from 'traditional classic' to 'premium contemporary' in our efforts to position Malaysia Airlines as a preferred premium carrier," said the carrier's chief executive Ahmad Jauhari Yahya. The carrier is scheduled to receive five of its six A380s on order this year. http://www.flightglo...in-june-369265/ actually this is a return back to MAS's old logo - remember it was facing right, in a circle?
  18. 9M-MPQ (cant remember the exact rego) is now basically a big ship with mostly economy class seats. Unless they are going to lease it to D7, the economics is going to be skewed if used in daily OPs. As someone here once said - its cheaper (or sometimes free!) to let them idle than to fly them around - the 744s are not exactly fuel efficient.
  19. We all have our speculations here. So will one day we see MH stoop to BI level? or MH turned into just MAS? and AK taking everything else? we can only speculate here.
  20. any link to that low-pass picture? I dont think the MRO hangers here are big enough for the whole of the a380. i think.
  21. for the 777? sure, but that involves a total overhaul of the IFE system.
  22. could VQ-BKK be a hint on how would the MH colour scheme would be like on a a320?
