  1. There's an E4B at Subang now. Anyways the dprk convoy includes an Air China's A330-200 as well so bassically more than 3 widebodies aircrafts deployed.
  2. TG had an average load of 76%. However TG itself had issues with their A380 as well. Flights to Paris, Rome and Narita were bleeding that they have seasonally swap them to 744/A350s and rolling them around different places to see if it could do well and serve any surplus demand. Insiders in Thai once informed that the A380 flights to Rome required more than 70% load to break even. The A380 is great for MAS provided there is no interference in market share from Gulf Carriers which did not happened. The reason why Qantas,Thai, and MAS A380 ops are in a headache now has been them all loosing yielding premium passengers to Gulf Carriers. They could only fill up the jumbos with very low margin yield.
  3. In the old days Ops and most of the depts were asking for the orders of the B777-300ER as the right b747-400 replacement candidate. Prestigious and political reasons have prevented the b777 orders from ever finalizing. Management back then was also reluctant to sign any deals with GE as the deals were pricey when compared to RR. Now they got blind sided when the rich gulf carriers rapid expansion would dominate the Aussie Asia Europe sectors in today's reality. Not helping was also Airbus promising rebates and compensation for the delayed completion and delivery to MAS. The best it could do for the A380 now is to use them for HAJ/Umrah as the A330 and A350 dont even meet the passenger volume criteria as it needs 300+ passengers per flight but when its off peak season this is where the fleet will bleed them financially. The current supersub sectors barely broke even. The plane is just too big and expensive to operate.
  4. Not really out of order is mostly the IFE on Air Berlin a332 are using Zodiac/Thales vendor so mab has to redo the OS and interface. Infact the IFE on the A332 are more fluent and smooth than MAB's Panasonic on the 738/a333.
  5. 332 MTV flew to AKL. Good luck to Y pax enduring the tighter 738 seat pitch.
  6. The funny part is majority of the payment centre for license renewal don't even accept credit/debit card transaction. All in cash term which is stupid when u look at them increasing the fee.
  7. Hope they would press and overhaul CAAM as well. Crew Annual hours of 1000 now approved for ak,Mh,Od without taking any account from pilots input and probably taking on crew performance from coolie low cost carriers in USA and Europe where their airline unions have been battling a loosing game on fatigue issues with management and airline safety regulations. So 105 hours per month is legal now and does not need paperwork to be submitted to CAAM. Suspect Airline executives been giving favors to CAAM folks to approve all of these. CAAM know there's a shortage of crew and simulators industry wide but rather then asking the airlines to halt expansion they're promoting the airlines to push the crew further which is also contributing to even more pilots resigning and leaving for overseas carriers.
  8. Ak will recover and probably not much affected as long as they dump fares for people to travel without spending a dime. As for Tony he'll recover as well but this fiasco will take a toll on him for quite a while.
  9. According to tech log temp prob illuminating so needing fix at bki.
  10. Short lived sticker. 9M-NAA and plenty of traffic were halted on the taxiway waiting for this bird to push back. It flew back with the Aero One callsign as well instead of Xanadu when it initially came in.
  11. Saw an insta post. The aircraft is currently undergoing sticker removal.
  12. Cabin crew we're donning all blue instead of the usual red attire. I believe they should've retained the AirAsia font on the tail. Not sure why they removed it.
  13. Definitely not blue hahaha!
  14. Special traffic coming as D79112 opb 9M-XXI eta 2.40pm++. Note I'll be sporting one of the most funny livery known to AirAsia.
  15. confirmed the upgrade has been scrapped. Fren on ak8712 transferred to ak5136.
  16. Fr24 seems to slot aax flight tomorrow. Be on a lookout.
  17. Not sure if these are the same model I used to see in Mas office Karamunsing. I recalled those models you can see the internal seating.
  18. Dont think is leasing issue. Probably forward booking not profitable to send the a333. Today's supposed MH2614 a333 also got downgraded to 738. People are likely to fly back to vote on late Monday/ tuesday and volume itself is not that great.
  19. 9M-MTV operating as MH7042 heard it will be on a long layover in KK until 11pm specially chartered and all seats sold as Y. MH2614 scheduled to be A333 as well but not sure if theres change in equipment. AirAsia X deployment from May5-7 on BKI KCH sector is also no longer slotted.
  20. Those flights are no longer bookable and listed on AirAsia website. Forward booking not doing well or they're unable to lease the planes and crew from D7?
  21. Spotting these past few days. Rotate very early due to empty payload.
  22. Deployment to China and India would be okay but not sure how the pax are going to endure AKL unless there's another different configured plane being delivered or they'll lower the ticket prices to d7 standards? Business Class is good though. My main problem with the A332's economy class is while it comes with nicely thick cushion but with the standard 738 legroom and seat pitch angle my knee would be touching the front seat if i wan to relax my seating posture and when the person infront reclines it will be kind of bit awkward as i would have to recline too to avoid the knee contact. I was caught off guard when the 737-800 had slightly more knee room due to the thinner cushion.
  23. Some Interior shots of 9M-MTU that was deployed to Kota Kinabalu yesterday. Overall flight was okay but i dont think that economy class tight pitch is bearable for anything above 4 hours.
  24. Upgraded dc-3 it's the bt-67 haha. On another note flight was full to the brim on the A332 for both cabin class.
  25. There was a dc-3 that make a quick refueling and A333 9M-MTD now A332 9M-MTU coming as MH2640. Result of multiple 738 cancelled flights.
