  1. Maybe Alex was standing near the Traffic Lights? With a long lens..im sure you can get a similar shot from there.
  2. I promise...but what if the life raft inflates whilst the aircraft is still at the gate, and i'm a passenger on that particular flight...then can i sms the details?
  3. OK OK! I WONT USE MY CELLPHONE ON THE AIRCRAFT ANYMORE!! Btw Liam....what does the fact that I'm young have to do with the usage of Mobile Phones in aircrafts?
  4. Great pix sir. I really like ur AI angle...very creative! That unknown airline..is Mayanmar Airways..sporting my FAVOURITE special c/s. Keep them coming sir!
  5. More pictures for your viewing pleasure! Socata Trinidad GT 9M-SOA This beautiful aircraft was parked on the apron. Norman and I kept glimpsing at it throughout our outing..but..we never dared go up close until one of the ESB pilots told us that we COULD go up close....after that... well...have a look! If you look closely in the YTL hangar...you can see the guard scolding the UTM student..kesian... The aircrafts looks very sleek. From what i have read, it is an extremely durable and versatile aircraft. I wonder what EADS does with it... Another view of the Socata. You can also see the J3Cub and 'Tayar Pancit' Shorts Skyvan (pix to follow...) TRINIDAD GT! At first..i thought the aircraft was made in trinidad...then i realised it was just the heat affecting me Catch a glimpse at the UTM student walking into the DCA hangar... Wooden Chocks on! I love the shape of this aircraft...reminds me of the Mooney Bravo. Go EADS Go!
  6. Gavin, Were you shocked at the lack of 'screens'? The only screens i could find in the WHOLE COCKPIT were those on the FMS'! Nontheless...the classic cockpits are beautiful!
  7. Well Shaun...it's not very easy. My Post 9-11 cockpit experiences (minus the 773ER and 772LR ones) were on Air Asia, on my flights from KUL-KCH, and KCH-KUL. What i did was position myself in the first few rows of the cabin, then I would wait until ALL the other passengers disembarked the aircraft before asking the flight attendants. They've responded positively to my requests and hence, i was allowed into the cockpit. I've heard some positive comments regarding the CX staff's attitudes towards pre-flight and post-flight cockpit visits...however luck plays a large part in this scenario. Good Luck mate!
  8. I'm sure each and every pilot has his or her own views on this...but I for one can't make up my mind on what medium of advice i would follow. One one hand..i COULD follow the TCAS...but it could be faulty..and could be displaying incorrect information... On the other hand...i COULD follow the ATC's advice...but he/she could be mistaken...
  9. Special Reply for Gavin..and anyone else who is interested If you're interested in a PPL restricted...check this out.. ESB FLYING CLUB PPL RESTRICTED PACKAGE If you're interested in a FULL PPL..check this out... ESB FLYING CLUB FULL PPL Btw..if u guys do decide to join one of their programmes...please mention either Norman and/or my name aa...so we can get some comission! Joking... Hope this helps!
  10. Alright guys...here you go..some pictures of the EAGLE 150. Rego= 9M-CLK Hours clocked= 613.3 The pictures might appear a little noisy and dark due to the fact that the aircraft was parked in the shadow of the hangar. I tried my best to brighten it up using PS...but any brighter...and the pictures wouldn't turn out very well and the quality would be severely degraded. Rest assured...the other pictures which i took are nicer...out in the sun maa.. The canopy was left open so everybody could gawk at the interior and the panel. The aircraft is extremely clean...even the props were polished! NO JOKE! Rudder section of this beautiful trainer. 9M-Chek Lap Kok as some of the instructors call it! The left side of the cockpit. It was/is quite hard to get a complete picture of the entire panel...therefore i split the picture into 2. This section shows you the A.S.I, Artificial Horizon, V.S.I, Altitiude Indicator..Bank Angle...Transponder, Nav/Comm. radio..the GARMIN GPS..and many, MANY more! This section shows you the important gauges...such as the RPM meter..Fuel meter..Chronometer (fancy name for a clock )..and many MANY more! Take a look at the HOBBS counter...it keeps track of the number of hours the aircraft has been flown. Also notice the NO SMOKING sign... The Joystick of the EAGLE 150. Airbus trainees will love this! In this picture..you can see the fuel control switch, the mixture control mechanism..the magnetos (silver key like thing...)..the battery switches as well as the rudder trim mechanism. The THROTTLE QUADRANT of the Eagle 150. Pretty simple..just slide it forwards to increase power...and slide it back to decrease power..SIMPLE! Many hours later...two pilots jumped into the Eagle..started it up (It's very loud..!!) and taxied out for a 15 departure (IIRC). See the Berjaya iin the hangar behind it...a clue for the next round of pictures Last but not least.... Comment away guys! Stay tuned for more pictures! They'll be better next time..PROMISE!
  11. HEHE teoh...take it easy mate... It's not a visit to ALL the hangars..only 1..and if we're lucky..probably another one beside it!

  20. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAH Like Gavin, I too am laughing my @$$ off!! Great set of pictures Jonathan! Love the Photoshop work! The second picture looks like a scene out of Marry Poppins, with a touch of Titanic! The third one really tops it all...TK's Spotting HQ... TK, Custom Made Spotting Shirt? Gav..i think we need to include that shirt as part of our MW merchandise!
  21. Sounds like a Gunung Santubong hybrid...
  22. GoodDay King/Maharaja/Emperor/Duke/Kaiser/Tsar TK! Unfortunately, I havent reached the legal age for acquiring a Camel-Riding License...thus until then...I will have to act similarly to a freeloader who always hitches rides to visit Emperor JonKong's land (sometimes I am transported to his land by means of his Royal Korean Chariot) and who orders 3 kopi ais' at any one time. However, on the odd day...when the moon is pink and pig's request for takeoff clearance from Runway 14R...I do purchase food and drinks for the other visitors.
  23. Thats quite a strong statement... Nice shot indeed!
