  1. Something like....THIS?? Bankstown
  2. Awesome Starburst! Thanks, Norman. Keep us posted on KUKL'07, I should be around to help.
  3. Things are not going to get easier - what's easy has been done, e.g. selling assets, downsizing and what not to generate cash and to drive the cost down. But anyhow, things will be better if MH keeps itself moving in this fashion (and pace). It's time to see how someone from another industry can have a go in airline business and making it successful!
  4. Ricky, you've got some serious bendy ATR wings there~
  5. Nice stuff, Razlan. Pretty good pics even though without powerful zoom. And for a change, we're talking about pics taken at "Turn #" instead of "Twy/Rwy #".
  6. Nice angle, Kianhong. Very nice pics!
  7. I thought I was having problem understanding English early in the morning. Phew... Guess the pics tell the story better. I see 3 engines - Eng1 missing....
  8. If you fly MH141, you could have a chance of getting on the exact same aircraft that had the incident in Stockholm. Seems like you're still concerned - I would recommend MH123 (the 744) in this case. Also, a family of four can just take up the middle row seats. Cheers.
  9. Nice cert, and again, well done to all volunteers out there at the Carnival promoting MW. I could've joined if I was in town, but anyway...next time lah~~ And Syakir, excellent pics!!
  10. Neither do I - it was only choking on debris...
  11. Hi Tina, Don't rule out an airline or a particular type of aircraft because of an incident. The Triple Seven is an absolutely amazing aircraft to be flying in - be it as a pax or a pilot. The exact same aircraft that experienced the little incident in Stockholm is still flying around the world - with every part attached. That aircraft might be in Stockholm today, and it might not tomorrow. It has everything to do with how the airline rotates the aircraft (i.e. the schedule of the aircraft).
  12. Hi Tina, Welcome to MW. I have flown both the 772 and the 744 on KUL/SYD sector - they are very comfortable, but I would, personally prefer flying the 772 given its slightly larger legroom. HOWEVER, I prefer the time at which the 744 is scheduled to. In other words, I prefer back-of-the-clock flying where I depart at night and arrive in the morning, so that I get the most out of the day of arrival (in Sydney). 744 and 772 are equally safe - they are maintained to the standards set by the airline so I have no doubt for that. Having 4 engines doesn't necessarily make a twin look less safe. 744 = 747-400. Some could be quite old, but some could be refurbished rather recently. I flew 9M-MPD "Hibiscus" on the KUL-SYD leg earlier in February and it was absolutely pleasing. Have a nice and safe trip. Cheers!
  13. Been away for a few days - busy packing for my return to KL. Great stuff guys! Excellent initiative, very good exposure for MW. Keep it going!
  14. Is this statement good enough to imply that the person who committed the crime is someone "authorised" (i.e. internally)??
  15. Seconded, Uncle Pieter. [1] Rainbow is missing. [2] Incomplete logo on the rudder & fin.
  16. So...a phrase as simple as "Insya-Allah" worries the pax?? Man, the US doesn't need billions of dollars to improve on security - because no one is feeling any safer since Sep 11!! They need Geography and World History lessons - to learn about Islam.
  17. Yup. And it's coming to Sydney on 28Nov!
  18. It's interesting to see if this A350 project is a GO. This is like another bet, like what they did for the A380 years ago. Keep in mind that the breakeven production units for A380 had increased ever since delays were announced - they are already losing quite a lot of $$$ there!
  19. I think they should do both, if they are serious about it. Alternatively, file it against MH, of which can file a separate but related case to MAHB. Just like how insurance works.
  20. RM47mil claim against MH... If granted, we'll see another chunk gone from MH's accounts.
  21. Almost the same. Q400 can take 1 extra tonne of payload than the ATR. Q400 has has SLIGHTLY better range.
  22. Wai Hung, scanners not sold in Malaysia, neither can you bring it in from overseas. Illegal item.
  23. Hehe. Air Traffic Management exam tomorrow, hence able to recall those terms. FANS = Future Air Nav Systems ADS-B = Automatic Dependent Surveillance Broadcast ADS-C = Automatic Dependent Surveillance Contract Then again, I think ADS is part of FANS... Back to the books!
