  1. When I was young.... I remember thinking all these "berhad" companies were all lousy. Why would I want limits ? I wanted to progress unlimitedly! I wanted to one day own an unlimited company. "Tidak berhad"! The sky was the limit! Then I found out it referred to liabilities 😝😛
  2. EY's 320's are worse than QR's 320's.... QR's 320's are actually quite nice leh.
  3. QR EY - no big difference on these routes between KUL-DOH/KUL-DXB. Not sure what equipment they fly on to EBB. I can only advise you to bring small USD notes in pocket, to help "ease" your trip to Kampala. Had a bit of fun there, but I don't wanna do it again. I did something business wise there that probably made me a little unpopular with some local councilmen as they were probably counting on some profits that hadn't hatched yet.......
  4. My mum took a train once to Bangkok. Seemed like a far off place when my dad took me to send her off at KL station! Dunno about Garuda HQ but the control tower is still there
  5. OMG - Djakarta. I love old indonesian spelling Iya Bapak Bapak dan iboe iboe ayo ke Djakarta! Di sana bisa pake saboen wangi tjap Lux, membikin koelit haloes!
  6. Don't log in - continue as guest, and you'll be able to enter any FFP you like. to answer your first question earlier, yes, you can, provided the Qatar fare you are buying is an earning fare.
  7. Splendid Idea. Will complement the USJ international airport near taipan very nicely.
  8. Dunno. I'm not Good with cars but when they drive around I can see lots of airplanes. That's why I like boarding via the German cars method. That and one or two other things ....
  9. Hahah all the hantu came out to answer. Yeah they are all correct- anyway for what it's worth ... I actually don't really like the airport. Huge , efficient but otherwise somewhat boring..... ... Unless I can board the plane via a German car instead of the air bridge.
  10. 1) SIN has many transfer counters - LH in SIN should be in Transfer E , in terminal 2. SQ KUL should be able to give you boarding passes though. Go to T2 Transfer E if you don't get them. SQ KUL should also be able to tag through to TLS, but if they don't - follow the steps below in and c) 2) Fairly easy, if you know where you're going - Your Longhaul LH flight will likely arrive at T1 Z (maybe B or C - doesn't matter). a)You'll need to clear immigration IN FRA, regardless. b)If your bag is tagged through to TLS, you clear customs in TLS by exiting via the "arrival outside the EU", c)If your bag isn't - you pick it up in FRA, recheck it, and clear in FRA. When you arrive in TLS, you exit via the "arrival from within the EU" lane. 3) TLS is within the Schengen Zone. Your flight will not have passport controls on either end. Call it "domestic" 4) 55 is plenty. MH is also in Transfer E, T2 in SIN. In KUL, check in with SQ, not with LH.
  11. I still think the road is long - we know it crashed, but finding out the whole story will take years, or maybe never fully be told - i hope for the sake of future aviation safety, everything will come to light.
  12. ohhhh i know which one- i saw it riding out to the YTL resort! I heard even polis takut ke sana .....
  13. looks a bit small for a regular fuselage window, whereas the smaller windows on the doors are about that width, but are taller.
  14. Ah yes, i forgot that - good point. Kept looking at it from a passenger perspective
  15. Can't i think - i have seen many people get stopped. I hope against hope - but i have a feeling that bottle won't say much.
  16. The plastic bottle (cactus) is from malaysia - but that's a size you can't take past security......
  17. Ah i see. So it's an acceptable culture la, this donation thing. I'm learning about my home country mah... been living here but i still don't understand it fully
  18. How many 777's were donated to MH ? Just curious.
  19. botox looks like it has a specific gravity of less than 1. I suspect it will float....
  20. For those of you who have been trying to claim mileage that didn't auto credit after you got upgraded using a bid via MHupgrade Tool - Please read and try, then let me know I have tried this a few times, and it works and credits instantly let me know if it works for you. 1. Try again online following these steps 2. Go to claim missing miles ---> SUBMIT YOUR MISSING MILES CLAIM FOR MALAYSIA AIRLINES 3. Enter flight date and number (nothing special here) 4. Enter origin and destination from pulldown menu (again nothing special here) 5. Ticket number - enter the number INCLUDING the stock of 232 and with no hyphen (ticket numbers are 13 digits long, the first 3 is the code for the issuing carrier, and usually those first 3 are separated from the remaining 10 digits by a hyphen. Remove the hyphen). CRITICAL STEP: In the case of MHupgrade - enter your upgraded ticket number, not your original ticket number in economy. 5b. How to find new ticket number? You'll find this number in the eticket receipt email you get when you get notified of the successful upgrade. That email will show 2 ticket numbers, the one that says E-ticket number is your new one. The one that says issued in exch is the old one. 6. Travel Class CRITICAL STEP: Enter your RBD (booking code) exactly as you booked it in economy . as an example, do not enter Y generically for economy (unless you actually bought a proper Y economy fare) as an example also, do not enter E for economy (again, unless you bought an E economy fare), Do not enter I for the upgraded business class your new booking books into 6b. How do you find your original economy booking code? - go back to the original email you got when you first booked the ticket, the one with the title Malaysia Airlines Travel Itinerary Receipt In the fare rules section you'll see something like this Fare Rules HKG-KUL (OLTOW5HK) The first alphabet in the fare basis OLTOW5HK is your booking code - in this example here - it's O. 7. Hit submit, if all goes well, you'll see "we have received your claim" etc etc. By this time, the flight you took SHOULD already be in your activity list. 8. Log out, log back in and your enrich balance should update also. Hope it works for you as it did for me!
  21. I seem to recall about a dozen imigresen officers. The flight itself was fine - MH blocked off the last section and left a clear gap between regular pax and the deportees. I'm sure if the check in agent asks if you'll mind moving, we have 75 deportees travelling with us tonight and we would like to move you forward - it's easy to get pax cooperation BTW - i know it was 75 because I asked one of the officers. Apparently some of them were only arrested that day or the day before - so it was a quick exit. Certainly those wouldn't have had time for a farewell party! The DAC flight was 19 August 2009 , 9M-MKD, MH196 Incidentally, I've also been on an SQ25 FRA-SIN 7 September 2010 - and 30 German Bundespolizei were deporting about 71 vietnamese - and they were to connect to SGN SQ coordinated to have the flight arrive in T2 gate F60 (those of you familiar with Changi will know this one is pain in the ass), and after deplaning, they towed 9V-SPP away, and operated SQ172 SIN-SGN also from F60 The deportees didn't get a chance to go visit the koi pond that's for sure. They sat in the waiting room all throughout
  22. Not always is it VVIP - sometimes it is for deportation reasons. I once flew on an MH A330 to Dhaka that i was told parked at H2 or G2 (I can't remember which of those two it was) and it was to minimize the distance between landside and the plane because Jabatan Imigresen was deporting about 75 bangladeshis on that flight. I guess they didn't want to lose them on the train, long corridors etc.
  23. i think maybe need to gostan one more generation of business class. Before the angled lie flats were invented, business was like 50-52 inches of pitch (ala SQ Ultimo or the MH 744 purple seats) - which i would think is superior to this TZ offering, but if you go back to a slightly earlier period - circa the MH 744 business orange Seats (this is a LOOOOONG time ago) with like 40 or so inches of pitch - is probably a a better match. I've been on both -8's and 9's too and there is one thing I don't really like about it. Maybe it's me, but it seems like when you're inside, cellphone reception is crap (ok, before anyone lectures me about usage inflight and all that - I'm referring to on the ground with the doors open) Someone told me it was from all the composites used that it blocks the signal. Don't know how far it's true though. Got my first pair of 359 rides in two weeks time and I'm not sure if that'll be the case also.
