Understand from a.net post that Transaero had a 737 and 2 747s damaged in truck accident in Moscow.. perhaps thats why the -400 was sent.

My experiences with AK were before the LCCT and A320s... and well.. they sure were a long way better than MH, and on occasionally, even more sincere and forthcoming than SQ gals.... That was before the massive expansive and during the good old days when there were RM2 sales, and RM20 in tax... :-) Remember flying KUL-MYY on 9M-AAB, the hybrid AK aircraft. Absolutely top notch flight, and even better service by the crew :-)

I remember in late 2003, was flying KK-JB on AK. Wrote a short note to the capt to fill in my flight log, end up the capt invited me into the FD to chit chat, was nice chat for abt 1 hr. Asked abt j/s landing in JB, but turned down. I guess if you really want to visit, write a note, and hope for the best. The worse u get is a polite "no", whereelse if you never ask, you never know... :-)

Hi Andrew, I stayed at the round about place until that stupid cloud came and blocked the sun off, then I moved towards central of the park, the next traffic light where there's also a small hill to overcome the trees. Managed to shoot the NH 767, 9W A332 and EK 77W. Left once the 77W came in. Cheers Tsentsan

Our flights will be progressively upgraded to A332. I think after Haji it willl be 2/3 flights A332 operated.

Read on the OZ-Spotters mailing list that there's an new AK A320 Man Utd logojet at Airbus... This is what was written: 3370 F-WWDF (9M-AHG) rolled out of paint shop at the southern end (looks like another Man U logo jet)

Sandeep, Your description of the interview process sounds so much better than the one I underwent for the 'Executive Officer' post.... That was really a long and drawn out process where you get interviewed after all the *crap*.... Makes me really wish I didnt have an eyesight problem and applied for the cadet pilot instead. good luck.. you might want to think abt flying to PEN instead of driving, cos I'm sure the drive + the jam (i understand road north of Rawang is single lane) will tire u out unncessarily....
