Roadsite beside the runway that goes uphill slightly and you have some clear view above the fence. If not mistaken the road is known as Jalan Batu Berendam.

Previously under KLM UK as G-UKTF and KLM Cityhopper as PH-LXK before it was given to Sky Aviation. It's rather rare to see the Fokker 50 in Malaysia nowadays. Edited by jahur

Hi Jahur, you meant roughly opposite the Hotel 906 right? It is one of my favourite spot for MKZ but it is beside a busy road, thus extra caution needed.

Have to shoot the Dutch Lady more not. I get the info Sky Aviation will replace them with 737s in near future. :)

MALACCA: Strong winds and high waves caused a lightweight composite-based Wing-in-Ground (WIG) marine craft to be damaged while it was being tested in the Straits of Malacca, near the Sungai Melaka estuary.

The marine craft, owned by Singapore's Wigetworks Pte Ltd, better known as an "Airfish 8", was undergoing some tests when the incident occurred about 3pm.

Wigetworks general manager Kenneth Tan said: "We were testing the marine craft when it was hit by high waves, causing some cracks on its left wing. There were only two people on board, a pilot and co-pilot and they were not injured.

"We did not want to damage the vessel further, so we towed it into the marina for repairs."

Airfish 8 is designed to provide a fast, safe, comfortable and efficient form of transport for passenger and light cargo over the sea.

WIG crafts fly between 2m and 6m above sea level and is used in the tourism and oil and gas industries, for island-hopping and also by marine enforcement agencies.

Despite having wings, the Airfish 8 is classified as a ship and can attain a top speed of 100 knots. Able to travel up to 500km without refuelling, it can transport people from Singapore to Kuala Lumpur in about 21/2 hours.

Airfish 8 also chartered a new milestone in the country's aviation industry when local composite aircraft manufacturer CTRM Aviation Sdn Bhd inked a partnership with Wigetworks to manufacture the Airfish 8.

Where is the marina?

Anyway, this morning a MMEA CL415 was spotted at MKZ, and there is still a PC-12 at the apron up to at least 2 hrs ago.

Pembatalan penerbangan Melaka Air: Kerajaan Negeri perlu beri penjelasan

M JEFFRI RAZALI

13 September 2012

:shok: if this is how they do business, i reckon no one would take their flight in future.

Wasn't it that someone played the fiddle while Rome burnt, many many years ago ?

Now Malaysians are ...... in Rome whilst Melaka Air crumbles :D

Nope, the really funny part is no one realized, or did not think it critical, that the 'kontrak' with FireFly was coming up to expiry, and went off to Europe instead :D
