The distance will reduce drastically two weeks later as I will be based in Melbourne. Looks like I will need to visit Perth then.

SV, a suggestion. If you want to visit PER, do it on the weekend of 1-2 November 2008, in conjunction with D7's inaugural flight and my arrival hahaha!

Do they still have any 747-300 left? (Don't think so....)

By the way, sorry to say, Indonesian airlines are a bit risky to fly these days. I won't fly with them until they have shown signs of positive safety standards.

GA don't operate B743. However, they have 3 B744s. As someone who have flown on 53 sectors with Indonesian airlines and live in Indonesia, I would strongly oppose that statement (because I'm still alive).

Having said that, however, I think there is a need for them to improve on certain safety aspects, so that incident such as a B738 that almost landed on airport workers in PER recently won't occur again.

How about KLM ?

IIRC, KLM had already retired them?? Pieter, can you confirm?

KLM retired the 300's a long time ago...some going to Thailand :pardon:

How could you forget the SLM (Surinaamse Luchtvaart Maatschappij) one, CeeBee ??? :o

Registered PZ-TCM is one of the most colourful ones around @ AMS...

Will certainly look into that! Weekend sounds good to me!

By the way, Pieter, which ones are the 747-206 SUD? How many of those did KLM have?

Air India! Saw one in BKK in 2007 and one at NRT in April 2008!

Yep, Air India uses the 743 Combi on the BOM-DEL-NRT route.

Probably thought she was mentioned before.. Never forget SLM! :o This one also being replace in the near future! Because of high fuelcosts of course. A330 perhaps to get in the fleet as they had a really succesfull lease of A330 from Iberworld last year when this bird was in maintenance.

Sorry, but what is it about the SLM or better known as Suriname Airways?

Not this one, is it?

"In 1989, tragedy struck when Surinam Airways Flight PY764 flew too low and crashed. The disaster remains the worst air disaster in the history of Suriname, with 176 fatalities."
