Kuching Intl Spotting Pixies...

Recommended Posts

i think it was in 1994 or is it 1995..the An-124 created a buzz among the KCH residents because all local papers during that time reported "a BIG aircraft will land in KCH" and locals was invited to visit the aircraft in the afternoon..maybe it was carrying something BIG to KCH but i forgot what was it about :sorry:

Heheh, I got the chance to enter that big aircraft that time. After take off from Runaway 07, that big aircraft turn around and did a low fly pass to everybody at the airport

Normally, we will cover up for two session (depend on the weather)

1st session, shot the landing (maybe at noon) based on the schedule

2nd session, shot the take off

Strongly advised, come early as it always traffic jam when the 744 is coming ..

AirAsia A320 Flapless Landing

AK5202(9M-AFA) Flapless landing around 0941hrs just now, I was noticed by it when there's an aircraft GO AROUND around 0900hrs, and was hold over BINAN for some standard procedures. The problem was identified as "Flight Control Flaps Locked"

PB043337.jpg

Zoom in as you can see the flaps were up.

The aircraft landed, emergency vehicles were on standby for them, but no assistance were required and the plane was taxi to the bay.

Kudos to the pilot !! :drinks:

I assume the plane speed for landing is a little bit slower than normal
