Ryanair to Offer In-flight Gambling with GBP 200,000 Jackpot

Recommended Posts

As early as mid-2007, Ryanair passengers may be able to engage in in-flight bingo. Notwithstanding that the airline prefers tthe term "in-flight gaming"...it is a form of online gambling, and is subject to special permits from EU authorities.

Jackpot is tax on people who can't do math so does gambling and lottery ;)

Look like people use to fly to Vegas to make money, now they can make money on the way to Vegas, inflight!

Rough translation from the blog:

"Jackpot slot machines in Singapore Airlines plane (1981)

In 1981, Singapore Airlines (SIA) introduced gambling services inside its planes. 16 Boeing 747s owned by SIA were installed with jackpot slot machines which are commonly found in casinos. To provide spaces for these slot machines, 6 seats on each aircraft had to be taken off. These exclusive machines featured SIA's nameplate and logo. "Fly Singapore Airlines and end up richer", reported by a Singapore newspaper regarding the new services which surely make passengers who love gambling happy (Well, if they win anyway)."

Maybe during those days if you lost you won't try to open the emergency door, unlike today.

Bearing in mind the old saying about God having furnished us with wings if we humans are meant to fly, I say we're all on a gamble anyway every time we step on board any of these flying contraptions :)
