Gavin Andrew David 6 Report post Posted August 2, 2005 Imran , whats needed to get PPL ?
Imran K. 0 Report post Posted August 2, 2005 Alright guys...here you go..some pictures of the EAGLE 150. Rego= 9M-CLK Hours clocked= 613.3 The pictures might appear a little noisy and dark due to the fact that the aircraft was parked in the shadow of the hangar. I tried my best to brighten it up using PS...but any brighter...and the pictures wouldn't turn out very well and the quality would be severely degraded. Rest assured...the other pictures which i took are nicer...out in the sun maa.. The canopy was left open so everybody could gawk at the interior and the panel. The aircraft is extremely clean...even the props were polished! NO JOKE! Rudder section of this beautiful trainer. 9M-Chek Lap Kok as some of the instructors call it! The left side of the cockpit. It was/is quite hard to get a complete picture of the entire panel...therefore i split the picture into 2. This section shows you the A.S.I, Artificial Horizon, V.S.I, Altitiude Indicator..Bank Angle...Transponder, Nav/Comm. radio..the GARMIN GPS..and many, MANY more! This section shows you the important gauges...such as the RPM meter..Fuel meter..Chronometer (fancy name for a clock )..and many MANY more! Take a look at the HOBBS counter...it keeps track of the number of hours the aircraft has been flown. Also notice the NO SMOKING sign... The Joystick of the EAGLE 150. Airbus trainees will love this! In this picture..you can see the fuel control switch, the mixture control mechanism..the magnetos (silver key like thing...)..the battery switches as well as the rudder trim mechanism. The THROTTLE QUADRANT of the Eagle 150. Pretty simple..just slide it forwards to increase power...and slide it back to decrease power..SIMPLE! Many hours later...two pilots jumped into the Eagle..started it up (It's very loud..!!) and taxied out for a 15 departure (IIRC). See the Berjaya iin the hangar behind it...a clue for the next round of pictures Last but not least.... Comment away guys! Stay tuned for more pictures! They'll be better next time..PROMISE! Norman 1 Report post Posted August 2, 2005 WEII Imran!.... I was there to make sure you're not in a cockpit When did you jumped in??? And I've to declare officially here that in all the flights that I've witnessed Imran WASN'T in a single of them as FAR AS I KNOW except the one shown above when I sneaked out to take the following pictures; (Sorry Imran's mum&dad... but I'm sure the engine wasn't started... ) Piper J3 Cub 9M-BDF... what a great sound when Lokman started it up the only tail dragger that I saw in SZB.. Socata Trinidad GT 9M-SOA - a fine flying machine Robinson R44 9M-BDY - If you're using MAXIS 012 and couldn't get coverage Mostlikely because it was "covered" DCA's Beechcraft-Raytheon B200 Super King Air 9M-JPD - My favourite aircraft of all but sadly still in DCA's hangar... just wish they started it up just for the sake of hearing the twin PT6A-42 turboprop whinning 9M-YTL Dauphine ..no need to introduce the owner; it's on the rego... couldn't guess the type of car under cover there BTW... 2 UTM students were reprimanded for venturing into the hangar those are static displays... here are some more action photos (Imran... where's yours? ) 9M-EAS taxying with a CJ2 maxed its thrust reversers 9M-EAT holding short on Foxtrot in the HEAT (at my max zoom...) 9M-CLK taxying while Berjaya Air Dash-7 airborne and to proof my point that Imran wasn't far from my sight (Except the jumped into Eagle cockpit.. ) Here he's checking the puncture in Skyvan's main gear And snapping the Calibrator I & II and B200 in DCA's hangar (at this point a 4WD with red-beacon came to us... luckily our gears were not taken away...) The point is that you're not allowed to take photographs outside the hangar that you're "cleared to" for your security pass... in our case the ESB's Hangar That's why most of the photos are around the hangar... except a few of course Next will be some pix from where you don't need any security pass... Imran... your turn.. --

Imran K. 0 Report post Posted August 2, 2005 More pictures for your viewing pleasure! Socata Trinidad GT 9M-SOA This beautiful aircraft was parked on the apron. Norman and I kept glimpsing at it throughout our outing..but..we never dared go up close until one of the ESB pilots told us that we COULD go up close....after that... well...have a look! If you look closely in the YTL hangar...you can see the guard scolding the UTM student..kesian... The aircrafts looks very sleek. From what i have read, it is an extremely durable and versatile aircraft. I wonder what EADS does with it... Another view of the Socata. You can also see the J3Cub and 'Tayar Pancit' Shorts Skyvan (pix to follow...) TRINIDAD GT! At first..i thought the aircraft was made in trinidad...then i realised it was just the heat affecting me Catch a glimpse at the UTM student walking into the DCA hangar... Wooden Chocks on! I love the shape of this aircraft...reminds me of the Mooney Bravo. Go EADS Go!
