Vicknesh PS 0 Report post Posted July 2, 2016 9M-MPP has been sold, but why send it to Jakarta? Eaglexpress is based there?
flee 5 Report post Posted July 2, 2016 anyone knows how much in millions that MAB used for bringing this 744 back? I suspect that it was sold to stop any more money bleeding from MAB on this old bird.
JuliusWong 0 Report post Posted July 2, 2016 I think it was sent to Jakarta to be repainted as GAMCO offers cheaper rate. A lot of airlines charter and second and.third rate airlines sent their fleet there for MRO.

Sandeep G 1 Report post Posted August 30, 2016 This 744 is becoming the bane of existence for MH.. I hope the CoA is still valid, or at least can be extended to fly her back to KL if indeed the deal has fallen through
S V Choong 4 Report post Posted November 26, 2016 MAB does not have the B747 and B777 aircraft anymore - so the charter business is no longer available. It is currently short of A330s, so how can it be running MAScharter? Really, so they have sold off the 9M-MPP?
flee 5 Report post Posted November 26, 2016 Really, so they have sold off the 9M-MPP? It needs a D check soon.
Vicknesh PS 0 Report post Posted November 26, 2016 9M-MPP deal fell through correct? Aircraft is still in Indonesia?
JuliusWong 0 Report post Posted February 23, 2017 Air Atlanta Icelandic is the new operator for 9M-MPP, surprisingly the aircraft is still owned by Malaysia Airlines System Berhad. New registration: TF-AAM http://www.icetra.is/aviation/aircraft/register?aq=TF-AAM 9M-MPP joins her sisters 9M-MPC (converted freighter), 9M-MPH (converted freighter), 9M-MPJ and 9M-MPQ, all currently with Air Atlanta Icelandic.
