AK latest reg 9M-AQE from PK-AXP to KBR

I wonder why AK took back PK-AXP from QZ? Is AK short of aircraft?

Thanks Uncle Pieter !

Flee, AK swap ac with QZ. 9M-AFJ with PK-AXP due to Indonesian regulation that an airline must have 2 owned ( loan fully paid off) aircraft.

The 2nd one still yet to go.

Oh its got to do with Indonesia's very complex rules for their aviation industry. So AK had to sell their older, fully paid up planes to them.

9M-AFJ is LAT livery. So no more in AK fleet?

So was the plane repainted? What is its new PK reggo?

Repainted back to normal livery. If not mistaken , rego should be PK-AXR .

Little correction . Next aircraft should be AHK. Not AFK

Just seen F-WTAU climbing out of PEN on FlightRadar24.

Anyone got any idea what it was? Another ATR ferry possibly?

Sorry, this was posted in the wrong thread. Should have been in the Penang thread.

It was an EC.225, seen Muscat (MCT/OOMS) 3 October, have no other details, would like to know where it was going and c/n if pos?

Regards

Chris

Yeap, read about it. More AK plane will go to QZ. Indonesia law requires Indonesia airlines to have at least five owned aircraft, implemented after few accidents in Indon few years.

I think most will come from 9M-AF* series...although the second is AH* series.

btw, all the best in exam, Keith!! Four HDs!?!

I think AHN has been stationed in BKI for a very long time. I often spotted her.

Thanks to KS Ong for a fun-filled day at KLIA. Too bad both Cargolux B748 & 9M-AFO were delayed in the afternoon. <_>

Have seen a mix of KLM Cargo and Martinair operating into KUL over the past two weeks. Any confirmation from your side Uncle Pieter?

Officially no more KLM Cargo flights, as Martinair is the cargo operator for KLM; all KLM 747 Freighters are now operated by Martinair - MPH...so you can see both KLM 747's and/or Martinair MD11's/747's operating into/out KUL... :pardon:

Regarding these 'new' AirAsia A320s, would it be possible for you KUL spotters to note which flights they are operating when you see them so we can get the hex codes tied up?

I strongly suspect that hex 750272 is 9M-AQE, the former Indonesia one but thus far been unable to confirm it due to lack of sightings. For some strange reason the hex is also pinging FY flights so there could be an FY aircraft with a miscoded transponder set to 750272 as well. These are the latest captures of 750272 if anyone can ID them please:

There is another new AirAsia hex code on the scene now as well, 75027E. I suspect this could be the former Air Berlin A320 D-ABFX, msn 4917 which left European shores on 15 Nov enroute KUL. I have no info on the new Malaysian reg of this one - surely you guys must have seen it by now and can fill us in? Logically it would be 9M-AQF but this is assigned to a future new build A320, msn 4969.

Latest captures of 75027E for identifying please :

OK since writing the above I've now been able to confirm 750272 as 9M-AQE as the hex was on AXM6273 BKI-SIN yesterday and SIN movements shows reg as 9M-AQE. Just need the Malaysian reg of the new one from Air Berlin now. :)

Edit to add:

Due in at KUL at 1850 local this evening from BKI as AXM5129 if anyone can get down to KUL for the reg??????? :help:
