Radzi 2 Report post Posted November 9, 2009 The afternoon of September 10 was a rainy day. Lots of thunderstorm around KUL. Runway was changed to 14 as the weather moved in. Runway 14 remained in use for the rest of the day. The rain finally stops but there was low cloud around KUL. The top of the tower was in cloud. Not easy to do an approach with fog or low level clouds. But interestingly preceding aircraft burned the hole in the cloud, leaving this interesting yet very welcome sight. Michael Chai 0 Report post Posted November 9, 2009 WOW. i guess it's seldom to find low clouds around KUL area. But tis morning comes with huge fog. But nice pictures on the approach as somehow leaving the hole for aircraft to land.

Radzi 2 Report post Posted November 10, 2009 BTW Captain if there's no hole could you still land? The cloud base was well above minimum of 200 ft above ground so yes, it would've been possible even without the hole.
