Low clouds

Recommended Posts

The afternoon of September 10 was a rainy day. Lots of thunderstorm around KUL. Runway was changed to 14 as the weather moved in. Runway 14 remained in use for the rest of the day.

The rain finally stops but there was low cloud around KUL. The top of the tower was in cloud.

Not easy to do an approach with fog or low level clouds. But interestingly preceding aircraft burned the hole in the cloud, leaving this interesting yet very welcome sight.

WOW. i guess it's seldom to find low clouds around KUL area. But tis morning comes with huge fog. But nice pictures on the approach as somehow leaving the hole for aircraft to land. :p

'Tower, we are visual!

Always a relieving sight to see the runway and approach light in such IMC conditions. Very nice! Thanks for sharing. :good:

Great pic, and I used to hang around the approach lights leading to R14L to watch planes roaring overhead. :D

BTW Captain if there's no hole could you still land?

The cloud base was well above minimum of 200 ft above ground so yes, it would've been possible even without the hole.

Now, please send it to a.net! :)

Unfortunately, the quality is nowhere near to A.net standard.

HELLO CAPTAIN!! Long time to see you.

You finished transition training and back to new office.

I was surprised to see such low clouds in KLIA,but you took a excellent photo.

I wish to visit KL again!!(No flight from September....so sad.)
