Isaac 0 Report post Posted January 3, 2006 yep, im flying. 22917 So do i. Do we see an increase of international flights to/from China, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Singapore during Chinese New Year? 22917 For HKG, i'm very sure that KA will, for their HKG/BKI sector and some of the flights will be operated by 333. As for SIN, not sure about MAS but i think SQ will. They do every CNY. SQ might got some extra flights to PEN also.

I. Wong 0 Report post Posted January 3, 2006 Is KA included ? Checked their online schedule, these are all MAS flights, excluding KA flights. I know TPE is doing great, not exactly 50% full only like rumored. But how about KHH ? The flights in and out of Taiwan are usually full during CNY due to many malaysian students go home for festival, plus Taiwanese are heading to Malaysia for holiday. I have also noticed that MAS have less extra flights this CNY to East Malaysia especially to places like SBW, where previously there were extra flights between KUL and SBW. This may be partly due to AK's recently annoucement of third daily KUL-SBW flight, where passengers are now flying with AK. In the meantime, AK also have extra flights out of JHB to Sarawak during CNY and a quick check on their online booking system indicates that most of the seats on JHB-SBW flights during this period have been booked. AK is doing good on their East Malaysian destinations. MAS may start to regret not to commence JHB-SBW direct flight despite requests from various parties.
