  1. I see what you mean there but when consumers start talking about which & which airline is a 5 star airline, that's a different thing altogether... somehow the rating gave both airline companies & passengers a benchmark to refer to before they choose whom to travel with. they used to have best signature dish, & the top notch FAs grabbed the best cabin staff for few years before giving away to OZ & GA.... That is why the rich middle eastern airlines are on top of the game. even SQ is seeing red figure already
  2. a narrow body product that is much more premium than the wide body product
  3. But they have this entire page talking about all the awards (except skytrax?) https://www.singaporeair.com/en_UK/us/flying-withus/our-story/awards/ The Skytrax 5 Star ranking does not base on customer's rating, but based on the Skytrax's internal audit in terms of every bit of an airline's operation, such as service, hard products, safety, nevertheless consistency... Not expecting that as the A330 Thomson Vantage J class are still new... I just went to the Skytrax A to Z airline rating, only to find that MAB no longer "not rated" , instead became "on review" already...
  4. SEPANG: The government is confident that Malaysia Airlines Bhd (MAB) will obtain a five star rating by Skytrax by next year. Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak said this is based on MAB's five-year recovery plan which is on track. https://www.nst.com.my/business/2017/07/256043/malaysia-airlines-track-get-five-star-skytrax-status PS: Damn it. I hope this is true lol
  5. PR disaster too. They only apologized for the overbooked flight, didn't mention abt the incident at all. Now they are tasting the netizens' attack.
  6. At least align all the liveries?
  7. Hi-5. Been on CX720/722/729 in 773/772/333/343 333 was one of the worst. +1 for 773
  8. That is why I need to hear more from KA pax. The little "touches" that differentiate the 2 brands.my worst experience on CX was back when they install those fixed shell seats... They should have hire a tit-da sifu on board when they used to have those seats... I have no problem with cx crew because i rarely press the service button Basically a different color version of cx with di... Different product offerings
  9. Somehow I don't see any of the so called "low cost" in Dragonair... They still offer baggage, meal, IFE, nevertheless professional cabin crew... What matters most by how I observed is people tend to be so particular to branding, although KA is also a sister airline... But when CX annouced the plan, people might just questioned: har? KA? Why KA? Why KA? Why KA? Just because they were so used to CX's product therefore they will doubt on KA being the "lower class" version of CX... We need to hear more opinion frm paxes who travelled on KA from the other two international airports in Msia...

  11. that will be more or less effect the image of KLIA, once again... happy to see the new train in service...
  12. true... no point using luxurious J product like SQ and EY, and ended up with empty cabin... talk about revenue first
  13. KUL to DMK 2hrs KUL to DPS 3hrs I believe that's the difference... but since it's a 2hrs flight im ok with hotdogs... not very hungry though 32inch + flight departs on-time matters the most
  14. tried Malindo for the first time last week from KUL to BKK on OD524 and OD523. 1. nice and clean cabin interior 2. full meal not served as flight time is only 2hrs. hotdog, muffin and limited selection of drinks is served 3. IFE selection limited but since it's just a 2hrs flight, unable to finish 1 complete movie therefore just played the games. 4. small pillow on every seats good for hugging or cushioning the head while sleeping 5. USB port for phone charging 6. earphone provided on certain flights on top of all the points above, the main reasons that made the flight perfect were a 32inch pitch econ seat and ON-TIME DEPARTURE.
  15. I am travelling with Malindo in short, just received email from them saying that they have move to KLIA from KLIA2. Those who will be travelling with Malindo too, please do reach KLIA 3 hours earlier to familiarize the new operation. Have a safe trip
  16. Somehow it looks more welcoming compared to CX's business product...
