I think the data might not be representatives due to short period of time and i doubt people will rush in to buy plane tix to sydney just to sample MH A380. Besides, they probably know the load/yield already ... well i could be wrong
-
my earlier statement...
-
the problem is that they already in possession of A380, if they buy the 2nd hand 77W to which route will they send it? can they afford to park all the A380 and subs it with the 77W? Instead, maybe its better for them to acquire the A330 HGW
-
Imo, If they can't get rid of the A380 they have zero interest in acquiring 2nd hand 77W in the market.

Maybe one step closer for a newco to operate a widebody a/c only

Turkish Airlines In Talks for 10 A380s Including MAS A380
nrazmoor replied to flee's topic in General Aviation
Of course its not a straight forward thingy but its a doable i think..., If they want to reduce to only 1 daily LHR service they probably need to retime/renumber their flight accordingly to make sure they receive feeds from both end. -

I think MH should maintain their A380 service to CDG, reducing LHR to 1daily A380 only and introduce 1 daily A380 to AMS. They need to further leverage their partnership with KLM and at the same time try to score a new codeshare agreement with BA. -
MAS B772 Fleet Decommissioned on 27 January 2016

If MH want to focus on widebody operation only, i think they shld get both 787 and 350. -
I guess the competence level of those at Sony IT department just the same as MAS IT department then..

Not surprise if the CEO is leaving.... Azran and TF seems have different opinions especially on Europe.

Are you sure it's a Qatari hospitality and not Philippines/Indian/Bangladesh hospitality??

I think if both MH and LH can see the benefits of their relationship/codeshare why not?? I mean just look at QF and EK tie-ups, and at the same ttime QF terminate their JV with BA who ever thought of that? Besides, it is more likely that LH to have some sort of relationship with MH than with the ME3 Btw, imo MH need to lease 789 like immediately to serve dest like FRA/AKL and replace one of the A380 to LHR with 789.

Any particular reasons?

Interesting... i did saw lots of man in suits boarding easyjet/ryanair in europe. but so far not yet for AK. If they can stand the old LCCT, additional 15min walk shld be no prob for them, i think.

Hoping for IAG to make their move as well

business traveller also use LCC?

had a 7hrs transit at the new terminal the other days... the good things - it is huge and really impressed with its architecture so a very very long walks is a must . A numbers of sculptures and interesting playground for the kids which give the airport more characters as well as the huge teddy bear smack in the middle of the airport. The huge LED screen just amazing but somehow being blocked by one of the structures towards the end of it. plenty of smoking lounge and most important thing really appreciate the quiet area/room with a really nice and comfortable chairs for sleeping(well.., not really a quiet especially with the loud snoring can be heard), unlimited free wifi (not sure whether it will be a permanent thingy or not). the food court is having a really great view of the tarmac Tv lounge( the TV still unavailable when i was there) and plenty of desktop at the internet area, tons of power plugs around the airport, the array of shop lots just amazing and there are still a no. of shops still not open yet. the mood lighting is really good not too bright and the ambient temp just nice as well. now the not so good things about it - lack of info/signage available, not even an airport directory available yet you have to rely 100% at the info. counters as well as the airport personnel around the airport, hence making it really inconvenience to navigate the airport. there is only one money xchange counter at the airport(think more will be open later). i'm not sure whether the food court will be adequate during the peak hr( only half the size of food court in KLCC) and the toilet.. the entrance is impressive but once you go inside you get this meh feeling... and the cleanliness is on par with KLIA which is not a good thing for a brand new airport. It's definitely better than DXB, not sure about AUH since never been there, given time and if they polish more on their services definately will rival Changi/HKIA/ICN for the best airport title award.
