  1. A friend in ME told me between EK and EY, the comparison is like between MH and SQ. We all know which for which..
  2. Third runway for LHR at least 10 years away. By the time the runway completed and slots open MH would have been through 3-4 BTPs
  3. Malaysian and Singaporean seems to have different approach when it comes to trees. Singapore build towns around trees whilst us Malaysian plant trees (more fake trees lately) around towns and buildings. And now they seems to be taking away the only jungle inside an airport terminal. For more shops. I hope not
  4. Pruning doesnt have to be like that. This is beyond it
  5. I am really disappointed bout the whole thing. KLIA MTB and Satellite were so well built all they gotta do is to maintain and do some minor upgrades but all we see now is they have taken step backwards. I know there are commercial pressures as well but why can't they at least retain KLIA's identitY
  6. Cant be tree pruning. It's gonna take years to have those branches grow up like a proper tree. To be honest i'm kinda disappointed. They put up shops around it effectively blocking the view and now they are cutting it?
  7. I just dont get it why dont they just take their 350-900 order. Will solve them a lot of problem and gonna buy a lot of publicity. Hopefully it wont be the case of 'once bitten twice shy' They tried London and Paris with A340 because it has range but its kinda old aircraft and guzzling fuel. 77W can be considered as old too. Wont be as efficient as new factory fresh 77W plus now they need to invest some capital to set up entire 777 operations up from scratch. It might have 2 less engine but when you add capital outlay needed it's just gonna be another A340 costs wise. Personally i think they need at least 4 77W to sustain daily service and maybe upgrade some of their popular North Asian destination.
  8. Competition is always good no? At least Malindo helps MAHB pushes their target to be consistently above 50 million ppa.
  9. Few days ago, once disembark from aerotrain i noticed the ambience was brighter than it normally does. To my 'horror' i saw trees inside the glass enclosure were stripped of their leaves and branches. Anyone knows why? Or is it being done once every few years?
  10. Fuel prices high, surcharge to keep up with costs. Fuel prices low, to charge on add ons to keep up with competition.
  11. Bring on the Mint Malaysian style. Even current NG can go up to 6 hours flight with standard config so i guess they can push max to 7 hours flight no problem
  12. Ha ha quite a low-key event for this type. A350-1000 must have took all the limelight
  13. 2 aircrafts flying any given night. Last night was to COK pob return not that great though just 180
  14. For economies of scale they should order another 10+15 mix of 350-900/1000. Forget 330neos they are previous gen 'facelift' aircraft.
  15. If Tony get to start his Labu airport project, one week after the bulldozer started work he will handed it over to the government citing costs etc. Then the government will have to complete it using tax payers money then we will be the one to complain why we are not utilising the full potential of KLIA. IMO flying out of KUL for few years, air asia group having the KLIA2 and runway 15/33 almost exclusively to themselves. Thats akin to having their own airport already. And thats even better considering their aircrafts can still utilised the other two runways. And having ERL connection right at the doorstep. What's more to ask? Sure, as a businessman he wont stop asking till he got everything free of charge but we have to be more reasonable. If all he care is to let public fly cheap and affordable then lower the fare and take less profit then. But he wont. We are all want to make a living. MAHB is no different.
  16. I onced withnessed ATC fork up in Perth by clearing one aircraft to enter runway yet a D7 aircraft on final have to went around when the said aircraft didnt commence its take off roll. You didnt see them making a big fuss out of it when they are the one who messed up but very quick to put spotlights on foreign carrier, Asian especially, when things happened.
  17. Prime Minister's Department got lion share of government's allocation whilst education and healthcare taken the backseat...
  18. Malindo or Lion changes their plan every week. We'll never know.
  19. All aircrafts that goes into Australia needs special approval and in Malindo only those aircraft listed above has been approved by CASA. In certificate files onboard these aircrafts have some kinda like CASA AOC certificates that is issued individually per aircraft. Without this certificates no aircraft can go in for scheduled service into Australia. There are more EDTO approved aircraft apart from those you listed above in Malindo.
  20. Saw QR A346 parked at A2 few weeks back around midnight
