  1. Ahh the game continues......... Now that MAHB says they are going to speed up the new LCCT, I think the next move in this game is that AK now wants to "own" the LCCT planned by MAHB.
  2. I don't know when the hedge ends. The figure I got was taken from the Malaysia Airlines Blog. It is from a letter Idris Jala sent to The Edge and published on 15th November 2008.
  3. MH had hedged 48% of it's fuel at USD102. So while the price of fuel is now down to below USD40, MH is still paying USD102 for the fuel and therefore can't afford to remove it's fuel surcharge. Fuel hedging is a gamble that just didn't pay out for MH this time.
  4. Once upon a time the lighting in the F50 was also white. After a while that clear plastic light cover will turn yellow
  5. I just hope and pray that this is nothing more than a ploy by TF to get MAHB to wake-up and speed up it's plans for the LCCT.
  6. I have to say that I just love these two shots!
  7. The introduction of any new equipment into airline service will involve some minor problem. However Eddy Leong mentioned that the ATR's was introduced as planned and as scheduled.
  8. This sounds interesting! Taken from The Star Online
  9. Oh I wished I knew about this and would have asked TF about this yesterday. Instead of bringing the MTB and the LCCT closer, they will now be even further apart!
  10. Thanks for the compliments! The podcast should be up by tonight at www.bfm.my
  11. I hope no more copies exist! It was one of the worst ads ever!
  12. It will be a live interview. Yes Idris Jala in on our wish list and are working on it and also planing to have Capt. Nik Huslan also on soon. As for me, I will go back to my lepak life style . Can't take the early mornings. I will still part-time with BFM but at the moment they have no plans for me.
  13. Turn in on Friday 19th December at 8am for my interview with TF on BFM89.90. BTW it's one of my last interviews as I am leaving the morning show from the 23rd.
  14. I think the reason MH has yet to get rid of the fuel surcharge is that they had hedged their fuel and are still paying very high fuel prices. Following is taken from the MH Blog Paying 48% at USD102 is a lot when the current price is USD44.
  15. Below is the report by Bernama on the latest from FY. To download the podcast of my interview with Eddy Leong go to www.bfm.my
  16. Firefly is expected to announce the removal of fuel surcharges at 10 am this morning at Subang.
  17. Hahaha yes that was the sound of jet engines. Eddy Leong's office where the interview was recorded is at Kompleks A Subang over looking the hangar area. I must apologise for the poor sound as it is recorded in a non-sound proof room with a lot of glass windows that results in that very hollow sound quality. Plus the handphones were interfering with the mike. As for DTF, his interview is set for the 19th at the same time. I hope that you can tune into the station. For those that didn't get a chance to hear this interview, I am waiting for the recording to be tranfered to MP3 and it will be downloadable on our web site: www.bfm.my went I get back from the Hari Raya Haji holiday.
  18. I have just completed my interview with Eddy Leong as he can't make it to the studio tomorrow. It was a very good interview (all 27 minutes of it) that answers a lot of your questions. It will go on air around 8 am tomorrow on BFM 89.9fm. A podcast of the interview will be loaded on our web site www.bfm.my by next week. We also had a great conversation after the interview where we spoke about MW and FYI Eddy had just join MW! Welcome Eddy!
  19. Thanks guys for the great questions and your support and will try to get as many answered as possible!
  20. I will have Eddie Leong of Firefly on my show this Friday at 8am. Tune into BFM89.9 or log on to www.bfm.my for live streaming and the podcast will be loaded later and can be downloaded on the same site. Coming soon on the 19th .... Tony Fernandes of AK. If you have any questions just post them here and I will ask them for you!
  21. I will be interviewing Azran Osman CEO of Airasia X this Thursday 6th of November on my radio show. The live interview will take place around 0804hrs on BFM 89.90fm or live streaming on www.bfm.my for those of you outside of the Klang Valley. If you have any questions, just post them here and I might include them.
  22. Please note I am not accusing anyone but a reminder, call it "offloading" or just a souvenir it is still STEALING! Blankets, pillow etc are on the plane for everyone. Every time someone "offloads" things it adds to the cost of the airline who will pass the cost back to the passengers with higher fares. Taking lifejackets could mean life or death to some in an emergency. Think about it!
  23. Thanks for sharing the great shots of T3! It sure looks good. Looking at this and the Senai airport makes you think that others can sure do a better job than MAB.
