  1. Salam Ilgaz, Thanks for confirming that Pieter has reported for 'duty' at Istanbul. And he looks well taken care of. We love our Pieter! Cheers! p/s: Is the spotting place on top of a building? Apartments? Nice clear view up there!
  2. After 10 years, I once again will be flying from SZB early next month -- with sang kunang-kunang.
  3. The reason you didn't find any is because there aren't any anymore!IPH, as far as MH and AK are concerned, had been a sore thumb... Hhehehheh.Even FY hasn't been mentioning IPH.IPH folks already have wide highway as its backbone. They are never more than three hours away from the nearest airport. I thought the same requirement applies everywhere (with some differences in Sabah and Sarawak). Perhaps the queue isn't so long and the staff are much friendlier due to minimal traffic. Hehheheh
  4. ...with high fencing between your camera and the aircraft.
  5. Yes Kenneth. Gained PR status at the CoffeeBean too. Part of the story in the previous page in this thread. Aerial pics of my KBR leg is here.
  6. Morning Louis, One more thing I notice about LCCT is that the AK staff style of making public address a la school prefect/discipline master. The tone is firm, rushed and patronizing all at once. And it's funny too how the passengers queue obediently at the door. As I'm typing this one of the staff member is shouting "TAWAU! TAWAU! TAWAU!" which reminds me of my bas mini days in front of Bangkok Bank when the bus conductors hailed "SOGO! CHOW KIT! THE MALL!!" coaxing you to come on board their pink little devils. OK, my flight is being called now. I choose to stay seated and not to queue until everyone has gone.... Light load according to the check-in counter lady.
  7. 0520hrs Left CBTL after achieving PR status there after a full 5 hours sitting there. I hope they won't miss me. 0521hrs Check-in counter R42. Empty. "Is it a light load this morning?" Nice check-in counter lady: (Glanncing at the screen) "Yes". Only one baggage of 6 kg was checked-in. My cabin-sized suitcase which I intended to carry onboard was 13kg - way above the allowance 7kg. The self-check in terminal Busy LCCT 0523hrs Upon reaching departure hall gate, was stopped to have my suitcase weighed. Was asked to re-check in. Time to redistrubute the load. Looked like they were really strict on this. Off to the men's for load redistribution exercise. Managed to transfer some into my laptop bagpack. 0530hrs To the scale again. Now 10kg and the man 'closed one eye'. Good. As I was wearing my jacket now, I told him, "It was this jacket which was heavy". 0532 - now Sitting infront of Gate P2. Put back the load to its original location Gate P2 View to the right where I was sitting. Load redistribution accomplished. Errr... have I gone OT here? It looks like I'm doing a TR in this thread hehhehe. Sorry if I have.
  8. Khaled, Louis, Don't worry. A prolific Malay gigolo like me can survive anywhere!
  9. Live feed from LCCT now... 0010hrs 16 Nov: Three flights from KCH, MYY and BKI arrived almost at the same time. All three baggage carousel were in use. Quite a crowd and lots of traffic as everyone, even with the lightest, smallest of baggage insisted of pushing the trolleys. 0030hrs After taking a seat observing people infront of the Lost and Found counter, I went to the carousel to collect my 14kg bag. 0035hrs Went out to look for cash machine. None were in operation. The "24 hours" sign was just for show it seemed. Had only RM8 in my wallet after a shopping and eating spree at 30,00 ft. Jeeez, should have withdrawn some at BKI earlier. According to the Info Counter lady, the cash machines would be up again around 2 am. 0040hrs-now At an overpriced coffee outlet at LCCT. On the free WiFi network.
  10. If this is to happen, then we'd also have "screaming kids tax". "loud-mouthed parents tax", "large cabin luggage tax", among others
  11. Ye ke, saadiah? I don't think I can stand all those parting moments. I'd surely cry! Hahahah
  12. Yes, ni baru la aviation forum yang mantapppp!! I must admit that MW is a place i escape to. And to procrastinate! hahahahahha
  13. Have a meaningful and safe journey to, in and from the Holy Land, Maarof. I'm glad you get to be Allah's guest this year. Semoga mendapat haji yang mabrur. [Pieter: (loosely) Wishing you all the best in the pursuit of an acceptable Hajj]. Do pray for the longevity and health of MWings as well. May all of us be blessed with happiness and wealth here in this world and the akhirat. Amin.
  14. Please do, captain! Thanks a lot!
  15. If anything is to be learned from the stupid remark fiasco is the fact that you can bash and be extremely critical about racial relations, politicians, even the nation! But when it comes to spotting and simming, don't you dare pushing Azahan's button. Why? Because this is an aviation enthusiasts' forum. Not everyone can fly aircrafts or get to travel every other week on business class. For many the way to lepas gian is spotting and simming. A pastry chef doesn't refer to a sous chef's work as stupid for the whole kitchen to hear. Likewise if you are a shoe fetish, you shouldn't say that lingerie fetishism is stupid. I might get offended! I have to agree with Azahan regarding the apologetic remarks made before knowingly hurting somebody. If i were to enter a room and say 'Sorry i don't mean to disgust you but i'm going to fart'. Then i farted. How'd you feel? Is my apology going to minimize your disgust? We are talking to each other here through writing. The chances for misinterpretation is great. Should i give you tutorial in discourse analysis 101 to appreciate the gravity of your finger talk?
  16. Eh, kawan-kawan let's join Brahim to LIMA that 7-9th Dec weekend. I'm making plans now! Hahahah...
  17. I've watched it!!!! I almost ej**u**t*d! Thanks Cik Nik Huzlan!!!!
