  1. Hehe,my bad.It was MH 064 indeed....The night flight.MH 068 is a day flight if I'm not mistaken...
  2. I took MH 68 from KUL-BKI and it's not snackbox...The flight continues to INCHEON.....The aircraft was A330-200 though...
  3. Hmmm.Strange though, seeing that picture....I think maybe it's a temporary solution to cover the areas which are glued,or welded... Still, that makes the aircraft even uglier, considering many of them are dirty and overused...
  4. Hmm...I wonder why didnt I bought the tickets earlier.....Owh now I remember!!!!!!MY GRANDMA was VERY SICK that night and I had to rush to KLIA to catch the last flight out to BKI....Hmmm,if I had known then,I would've bought the ticket 1 month early...IF only I have a crsytal ball to help me,so that I won't have to buy the expensive ticket....
  5. As if everybody are paying for the RM 9.90 ticket, some people are paying up to RM 350.00 if they bought the "late" ticket for AK,like I did a few years back,on KUL-BKI sector, which is at that time,if I pay another RM50,I can get the Night Tourist Economy class ticket on MH,but the night flight was full.So stop all these "you get what you pay for" nonsense.. It's just ridiculous of what AK is doing...They moan about monopoly of MAS a few years back, and now, they're the only LCC in the country, and they're using that to their advantage....Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't that some kind of monopoly politics???
  6. At least there's a place where the pax can relax outside the cramped terminal. Is there only 1 of those things???
  7. Nostalgic pictures, brings back the memmories of me taking a KUL-BKI on a DC-10-30 off Terminal 2 in Subang, back in 1990 I think, was a very young man, fell in love with the sight of the plane....
  8. Wow...Wonder if they'll ever merge with Maswings in the future, now that they're targetting BKI,and wonder if there'll be an ATR flight KUL-BKI in the future.MH used to operate one F50 flight a week KUL-BKI vice-versa,and it took 4 hrs. Some body correct me if I'm wrong..The flight usually takes off at 0015 and arrive at the then Subang Airport,at 0415...
  9. I'm a regular user of the CGK airport and I just cant seem to find any airline lounges there.I just wanna ask if there's anyone here who have used the lounges at CGK??What airlines lounges are available and are there any lounges that the AK passengers can use???I mean,I know I have to pay for it then, fair enough, anyone know what's the price??Thx
  10. Nearly all of the Kl Singapore route are businessmen and executives.Do you think they'll go for the delays of Air Asia once they're given the flights???Improve on your delays first,Fernandes..Don't talk nonsense, you're already lucky enough to be given an LCCT terminal and have it all to yourselves...
  11. I never knew that I can pay,but I've been there twice,it was okay.If I can pay to use it again,I will.Anyone can tell us if we can pay to use it??
  12. But I do think AK have to be introspective, its the passengers' money that enable them to buy those new Airbus and they do have to improve on the delays.Technical problems can no longer be accepted as those aircrafts are new and if the problems to the delays are technical ones, then we should be worried, those aircrafts are less then 5 years old and are already breaking down, thanks to the overusing.........
  13. Know what??Took AK 5102 to BKI last Sunday, they announced..."pax holding express boarding only stand at P7 and others wait at P8.And a couple with their child didn't get to board early, and it was raining very heavily. My flight taxied on ime and after 5 minutes returned to the gate, shut down the engines and announced that 2 of our pax are disembarking due to 'health' problems. We waited for 1 hour to get rid off their bags. And not so long ago a minister said that AK delay is only counted after 30 minutes delay while MAS' delay is declared a delay if it is delayed by 15 minutes...
  14. I dont think we'll see a cannibalised A300,coz they buy it all with their money. They got the Fokkers for nothing and they took advantage of it as whatever happens to the fokker, the loss will be VERY minimal,if there's any loss at all.
  15. True enough man. After they took over, everything for RAS has gone downhill.Delays, cancellations, wrong flight informations. At least a fokker 50 is stranded and being used as spare part bank.Leaving them with only 6 fokkers and now, they're complaining that they're not given enough aircrafts.Luckily not all F50 are given to them,if not.... If profit is all you're after, and if U don't wanna maintain the aircrafts properly, just use the Wright Borther's airplane, theyre cheap and easily maintained... The spare parts can be made by your employees.....
  16. TRUE ENOUGH!!! AK always been proud of this motto and now.... alhough they're a low cost carrier, they should've find a solution for this kind of problem. How can you have money to buy 100+ new airbus but can't spend money on some facilities for the disabled???
  17. Haha,I know this 717.She's currently used as exhibition stuff at Taman Mini Indonesia,Jakarta.I've visited her cockpit and cabin las year at the park.Even took a picture with her.when visiting her cockpit,it's like back to the old days with all those steam gauge and analog meters.Any of these planes still serving now??
  18. Hmm, I don't know what's the REAL purpose of purchasing the ATRs,good news for the spotters by the way but I really do think they have to think of replacing the 737s as these airliners are the real workhorses of the company.
  19. Naim, after strapping your luggage with the tag, where do you send them???To the manned counter or is there any designsted place to put your luggage??
  20. Owh,I'm so sorry,I thought no one brought this thing up. Mr Moderator, would U pls help delete this topic??It's redundant now that someone else has mentioned it b4,tq...
  21. Dunno if anybody has mentioned this but during my last visit to LCCT I saw some machines about the size of ATM machines, which belongs to the Air Asia. It has barcode scanner, boarding pass printer and luggage tag printer. I suspected they're the machines that AK passengers will use to self check-in in the very near future.
  22. The thing that we can learn from these promos is MAS is a 5-star airline (depends on your evaluation) and they won't give out cheap tickets as frequent as Air Asia,BUT their delays are not as frequent as Air Asia. Every airline has its pros and cons, and it's acceptable if U have delays here and there for Air Asia and people complains about high ticket price for MAS.It's competition that happens and is acceptable on a route that is catered by 2 airlines. PS -----BUT,the thing that happens with FAX,where the planes are always delayed are not aceptable as they're the only carrier serving the rural routes.(bit off topic but I feel I need to make my point about FAX)
  23. One thing that FAX,or Tony has done brilliantly is, getting the Fokkers and Otters, with minimal or no charge at all, overuse them, run them and cancel the flights like it's an airline managing game, and when Tony get bored, they return all the aircrafts, with defects, malfuntions and give the excuse of focusing on another sub-airline in order to escape without the G making a fuss. That's shrewd business.....
  24. Hi azreen, I'm based at Jakarta too.Jakarta Barat,Tg Duren,to be precise. U go spotting frequently??
  25. Not a thing can be said to change this situation.Find the wreckage and pay some last respects to the passengers. All they can do now is be strict on airlines. It's no coincidence these things happens with aslarming frequency.Something must be really wrong.RIP to the passengers....
