  1. In order to maintain its '5 star' status, MH can't let the pax has too much of capsicums. They could load up sandwic with Aussie ham in ADL, meat pie in SYD and banana in CNS. They can even add AKL in their itinerary : KUL-PER-ADL-MEL-SYD-BNE-AKL-CNS-DRW-KUL
  2. IIRC, MH used to fly to Darwin, Perth, Adelaide, Brisbane, Melbourne, Sydney & Cairns. Under the 5*at LCC cost concept, perhaps MH should consider fly KUL-PER-ADL-MEL-SYD-BNE-CNS-DRW-KUL with B734
  3. Sometimes I wonder how many 'boats' does MAS or even KLIA has ?
  4. We can give MAS a break, but how about the pax and the competitors ? I won't be suprised with the current trend, MAS will end up as a 'major regional airline', competes with Air Asia and other LCCs. In no way MAS will 'return' to the 1st league competes with EK, SQ, CX etc in the near future. If MAS is happy with that, they can phase out most of their wide bodies as well as their F & J class products, concentrate on Y class with high density narrow body fleets !
  5. Wonder if the government has the plan to upgrade PEN, KCH or BKI to handle A380 at the moment
  6. I tried MAS reservation number in Sydney several times in the past few months and each time it took at least 15 min to be answered, and that was after I pressed '1' for the options "press 1 if you are flying first class or bussiness class, press 2 for economy" (even I was in economy). I have tried option 2 before and as the result, i dropped the call after 25 min waiting !
  7. If that happens .....people will fly to HKG, bypassing KUL
  8. Plan is plan, without an action it is still too early to talk. Furthermore, based on the past experience, any masterplan can be changed to suit any interest party's needs. Btw, it is great if this masterplan can be materialised eventually.
  9. When SZB is ready for AK, AK will ask for Sg. Besi ...
  10. OT a bit, any idea of Finnair "come back" to KUL ?
  11. that proves a concrete wall is stronger than an aeroplane
  12. Perhaps EK may think of set up its own aircraft manufactory line....
  13. Agree. The wing span & tail height makes A380 looks fat & short. Unlike B747, the proportion of the wing span, tail height & fuselage is just perfect !
  14. Maybe this man stowaway in incoming flights to KUL and just 'transit' at KUL......
  15. Hmmm...with RM13,800 he could have a decent KUL-SIN flight in first class, or perhaps chartered private flight....
  16. http://au.news.yahoo.com//070913/2/14eze.html Thursday September 13, 03:57 PM Qantas grounds most of Bombardier Q400s Qantas has grounded some of its turboprop aircraft which fly routes in regional Queensland, as well as the Canberra to Sydney service, after landing gear problems with the same planes in Europe. The airline said it had inspected seven of its Bombardier Q400 aircraft - also known as the Dash 8-400 - following an airworthiness directive from the Civil Aviation and Safety Authority (CASA) and Transport Canada. Qantas spokesman Narendra Kumar said one of the 72-seater aircraft had been cleared and was operating as normal. "The remaining six are about to start the necessary work to enable them to return to service as soon as possible," he said in a statement. "Safety remains paramount at Qantas and we will not operate any of these aircraft until we are completely satisfied that there are no safety issues." Canadian aircraft maker Bombardier on Wednesday recommended Q-400 planes which have completed more than 10,000 flights be grounded after the aircraft was involved in two emergencies in less than a week. On Wednesday, a Scandinavian Airlines (SAS) Q-400 in Lithuania made an emergency landing with a landing gear problem. Three days earlier, another of the aircraft crashed in Denmark when its landing gear collapsed during touchdown. Qantas said the aircraft in QantasLink's Q-400 fleet had each accumulated less than 5,000 landing cycles. "The aircraft involved in the incidents overseas are older model aircraft, with each aircraft having in excess of 14,000 cycles accumulated," Mr Kumar said. The grounding of the planes, including those on the busy Canberra to Sydney service, came as federal parliament was about to rise for the week, prompting an exodus of parliamentary staffers and politicians from the capital. Mr Kumar said an extensive contingency plan was being put in place to replace the Q400 on affected routes. "We are doing everything we can to minimise any inconvenience to passengers," he said. The remainder of QantasLink's fleet of 40 aircraft was not affected and was operating as normal, Qantas said.
  17. Maybe the two helicopters should be showed as static display at LIMA 07, 09, 11, 13, 15, 17, 19...... as well as Merdeka Parade every year, and eventually send it to the museum after the next 50th merdeka day...
  18. Interesting to see domestic operations made more profit than international routes ! For many many years we have been told from the previous MAS management that they have to use the profit from international routes to cover the losses from domestic even though MAS monopolied the domestic routes at that time. Now, MAS's domestic operation is making profit despite of the present of AK. It's all about management ! Well done to Jala and all the MAS staff !
  19. The more orders received, the more possible compensation to pay...
  20. Europe airports is catching up.....
  21. AK should be the model for most of the companies in Malaysia, fast response & actions ! This is the way of doing bussiness nowadays if u want to be successful. Try KLIA website, click on the customer feedback button and wait, see what will happen..... (although they claim they will response within 5 working days)
  22. The new kangaroo looks a bit imbalance with the new leg position
