AirAsia Group/AirAsia X Group Service Changes

Indonesia Air Asia X DPS-MEL did not kick-off as planned on boxing day. Many MEL pax bound for DPS are re-routed via KUL or offered with full refund. -
I was on a D7 flight today. Onboard there were several Chinese pax watching movies and playing games on their tablets without any ear / head phones on. They turned on the volume quite loud and it was really annoying. Perhaps airlines should restrict pax to watch movies or playing games only with their ear / head phone on

While GA inflight services are good, from my experience, the service quality is not consistent in their customer service though and there is still big room for improvements in this area. Their staff are generally friendly, it is just sometimes they have no clues in handling some situations. Not sure if they are not well trained or company information & procedures are not conveyed to them effectively. Another thing is from my experience, SQ takes less than 24 hrs to reply to my email equiry / complaints while MH takes 2 weeks. GA however, has never reply to any of my emails.

I think it also depends on the traffic rights between the cities. Take LH & KL as example, they have fifth freedom rights between BKK-KUL vv and KUL-CGK vv, hence it make sense for them to have tag on flights instead of triangular route for better aircraft utilisation. Likewise the former QR DOH-KUL-HKT vv.

Few years ago I bought tickets with JQ for SYD-KUL vv before they axed the route. They offered us the options to reroute to SIN (via DRW), HKT or DPS

Excellent shots ! Thanks for sharing. Did a check on airfleets.net, EP-IAC is 37.5 years old now, almost 11.5 years older than Biman's DC10 'New Era' S2-ACR -
AirAsia booking engine shows KUL-SYD is down to one daily from Feb 15 onwards. KUL-MEL still has 12 weekly. KUL-OOL has 5x weekly

2014 Q3 Financial Results for Malaysia Airlines & Air Asia Group
Kee Hooi Yen replied to flee's topic in General Aviation
Cutting Australia's capacity definitely will have impacts on the feeding traffics to AK's flights from / to KUL. From my observation, approx. 75% of pax from my last D7 SYD-KUL flight were transiting in KUL. -

AirAsia Group/AirAsia X Group Service Changes

I believe the market is predominantly transiting pax, especially from Australia. O&D demand may not as strong. What's next ? Perhaps SXM ? That will be nice !
