  1. I did try to claim my couple of flights with Virgin Blue.. None of them get credited.. I've given up and Virgin also ditched MH for SQ. But it doesn't matter cause I never get any points anyway..
  2. The one well known for sleeping on the job..? He should be axed.
  3. Even with the IFE, those planes feel very budget. Can't imagine them without. They need them to "distract" the passengers from the horrible leg room.
  4. I thought Qantas is one that keep breaking apart mid air.. I don't like Tiger for their lousy service and products, but I am not sure how fair they are being treated.
  5. Yes, that's right. When problem gets out of hand, it's the top management that carries the ultimate responsible. Not the staff, ground crews or etc.. The head should carry the cane. But in MH's case, things are a bit complicated.. Who is the actual head in the company? I doubt the CEO has free hand in managing the company.
  6. Not sure whether it's their intention, but this is probably their best publicity and did manage to win over some supporters. Better than spending a hefty amount on advertisements.
  7. What's this thanking the prime minister business... We all know election is around the corner but it just sticks out like a sore thumb.
  8. They might just remove the "satu" and replace it with "oneworld"...
  9. Singapore is very advanced. Some can even argue better than Australia. Naturally people don't tend to say bad things about them. In contrast to weaker ones, they can be made scapegoat of anything.
  10. Wondering whether it will be more expensive to redeem flights once the loyalty programme is standardized with the other partner airlines...
  11. Yea.. The Australian media will be jumping up and down about "mishandling" by Malaysian ground crews each time there is an incident.
  12. ok..this is a bit off topic..but further on to this cattle thing, we have asylum seekers treated like Indonesian cattle in Malaysia. Link here
  13. It's only like an hour flight, don't think people will mind. They can still have some extra perks in Firefly. As long as there is good seamless connectivity between MH and Firefly, shouldn't be a problem.
  14. In Malaysia, people get promoted because of who they know and not what they know. When these people fill up top leadership and management, it's just a recipe for disaster and much embarassment. Guess MH is one example.
  15. Thanks.. It somewhat makes me feel a bit better with all my missing miles..
  16. Still haven't got mine despite multiple attempts.. it's getting a bit annoying now.
  17. The seats are very cramped..Otherwise I would see it as a winner..
  18. Just flew from Kunming to KL on their new sky interior 738. The seats were horribly tight, hardly any legroom for comfort. Felt so much like budget airline. Really shocking for an airline that claims itself to be some 5 star value carrier. The flight was only 60-70% full. They can't fill the planes, don't know why want to squeeze in so many seats to make life miserable for passengers.
  19. If the AP queen were to be made board chairman of MAS, people will scream cronyism.. But people seem more accepting since it's with Air Asia.
  20. Something I don't quite understand.. MH doesn't have many business customers anyway, why want to squeeze in as many business seats as possible. It's not like they can fill them. Might as well pamper their few existing business customers with plenty of space and comfort. This will attract others. As for their new livery, I'm starting to get used to their plainness.
  21. Yes, that's right. We don't really know the identity of this guy, we can only make assumptions. But as this matter relates to MH, it's a natural people have a tendency to 'associate' this guy with MH, whether he is truly is or not, who knows.. And it's a real showcase of hospitality with his threatening language, MH can even consider reprimanding (or suing, since we are in a litigious mood) this guy for spoiling their reputation. Anyway, it still amazes me.. All that fuss for some photos that was posted for a couple of hours.
  22. Actually it still doesn't work for those from Australia even if you use HQ page. Each time you do a search, it will go back to the main page. It seems like MH's attempt to shut out Australian customers. It's going beyond ridiculous now.
  23. There is already lounge you can pay to get in. Owned by Westin if Im not mistaken. Hardly anyone use it.
  24. Yup, that's right. They did sign the letter implying to others that they agree to move. But when the terminal is completed, they throw up a ruckus not to move. That's very irresponsible.
  25. It will work both ways.. People to connect to his airlines as well, vice versa.
