  1. The shift to terminal 1 is confirmed. Just got an email from AirAsia.
  2. Just read a piece of news from Daily Express. Headline says: AirAsia OK with moving to Terminal 1 Dec 1 Quoted from the article: "The Minister said also he had met AirAsia Chief Executive Officer Aireen Omar who said the ariline would move to Terminal 1 and was told that the move will not affect the low-cost carrier." Full article at: http://www.dailyexpress.com.my/news.cfm?NewsID=104817
  3. Inquired about the terminal shift on AirAsia Live Chat service. The answer given is... NisaCustomer Care Good NisaHello Arthur. How may I help you today? ArthurHi I'll be departing from Kota Kinabalu on 2 December. Which terminal would the flight be? Terminal 1 or 2? NisaHello Terminal 2 ya sir..... 5:10 pmArthurI heard that operations are planned to be shifted to Terminal 1 on December 1. Is this true? NisaIn the eman time, it is still terminal 2 ya.... ArthurOkay thank you
  4. I'll be flying AK from BKI on 2 Dec. Will be monitoring the situation on 1 Dec closely.
  5. Thanks for the info! Got 6 hours to bum around during transit, so was considering between lounging or catching a movie at the nearest cinema. And thanks for the lounge guest idea. But I'll be travelling with a friend, so I don't think they will allow 2 guests. Actually, it would be cool to have a social app/website for airport lounge guesting.. (Something like that airport transit dating website!)
  6. Just wondering. I have a BKI-KUL-SYD flight on economy coming up next month. If I upgrade the BKI-KUL route to business, will I be able to use the KUL lounge for transit? Or is the access only for BKI lounge? (KUL-SYD still on economy)
  7. Just a side-post... I'm impressed the Dutch Prime Minister flies MH. On the other hand, our Prime Minister/wife flies by private jet.
  8. Just got out of KLIA2 earlier this evening. Luggage retrieval is a BIG PROBLEM!! I counted 52 minutes from docking at the gate to my bag coming out. I could have gone for dinner and back and still have time to spare before the first bag comes out. Anybody knows what's wrong with this 'high tech' baggage system? (pissed off/annoyed mood)
  9. I've never transited at Frankfurt, but at Amsterdam Schiphol it is very smooth. Upon arrival from Asia, no need to collect luggage if yours is already tagged straight to final destination. No need to go through immigration checks unless you're planning to get outside of the airport. Just follow the signs and head to your boarding gate. 55 mins transit should be sufficient, but you wont have time to take a stroll and look around. Need to head straight to the boarding gates, especially if they really enforce you to be there 30 mins prior to departure. There may be security checks that slow you down. Whenever I do transits overseas, I prefer to select longer transits so I can enjoy the foreign environment. A 6-hour Schiphol transit would be enough for me to go outside, take a train to Leiden/Den Haag, walk around gardens, sit at a cafe sipping tea, and train back.
  10. Is this verified? I'll be flying on MH143 this October. Haven't got any email from MAS regarding the flight changes. Or maybe later I will...
  11. I'm beginning to wonder... MH370... China passengers... is it possible that maybe one of them did something that incapacitated the flight.
  12. No need. Travelling to Vietnam is relatively hassle-free for us Malaysians. I agree VN gives pretty good value. Their meals are decent and I kinda like their seats. Flew KUL-HAN-KUL last year which cost me just RM400 return all in.
  13. Yup. I once had a 9 hour transit at DXB 12am-9am (worst timing possible to do touristy stuff). I went out and booked a hotel room from one of the counters. A quick taxi to the hotel and slept until 6am. 730am returned back to airport. Indeed I was the freshest among the other tired and weary transit passengers! Maybe KUL-BKI-KUL?! Probably seasonal for the CNY/Raya balik kampung festive periods?
  14. I don't know about now, but it was possible 3 months ago
  15. Redeem Enrich vouchers and get yourself some perfumes (either for yourself or to give to loved ones). I did that and gained relationship plus points with my partner! ... (even after I told her I was actually a cheapskate and didn't even spend a single cent!)
  16. The catering is an embarrassment. And I mean... really MEMALUKAN. Personally I'd rather have better food service than PTV.
  17. 18. Visited Temptations outlet @ KLIA. Still open with limited product quantity. Was thinking of buying the "ostrich pillow".. looks interesting, but too bad out of stock. Only mail order available. The fella there mentioned that MAS is planning to close down the store, but will continue with the in-flight merchandise sales. Lotsa stewardesses around grabbing a few deals. Clearance sales. Discounts valid for cash payment, but none if using Enrich vouchers. Anyway, got myself some perfumes and still had spare voucher value to add in some useless things (for me) - playing cards & nicotine patches (give to friends).
  19. Maybe there's hope if is they conduct a stock clearance sale... (After all, what are they gonna do with the unsold items? Give out free to their staff? That would be disgusting for a loss making company.)
  20. Really??! I'd be extremely pissed if this was true! I was planning to purchase something nice with my vouchers. Extra baggage fees is useless for me since I always travel light. If true, this would officially be the worst FFP ever for me! My $$$ going into the dustbin just like that.
  21. Hey, I've got a noob question. I just redeemed a few Enrich vouchers. It's written that it may only be used for Temptations purchases and excess baggage. Just wondering if it can be used elsewhere, eg. to puchase: 1) KLIA Express ticket 2) MAS' latest gourmet meal offering 3) flight tickets
  22. Malaysian Passport - Foreign Passport - Malaysian Passport - Foreign Passport I hope the lines won't be messy with this arrangement of counters. And what happened to those self-service passport gates?
  23. OMG... yeah, you're right. This is outright Malaysian mainstream media spinning!!! They never specified the category hence almost everyone will assume it's an overall runner-up award!
  24. link: http://www.bernama.com/bernama/v7/bu/newsbusiness.php?id=1027971 Published today by Bernama. But I thought KLIA wasn't even in the top 10 list? Wasn't Incheon 2nd? Can anyone clarify?
