Woman partially deaf on alleged AAsia fast flight
Walter Sim replied to Cire's topic in General Aviation
Flights to China are normally padded in terms of their block time, because of the frequent delays. I believe she's flying with a blocked sinus or some sort of a cold that unfortunately ruptured her eardrums on that day. -
Chicken Pox, AirAsia and Denied Boarding
Walter Sim replied to affendi osman's topic in General Aviation
And the spotlight continues.. http://www.utusan.com.my/utusan/Dalam_Negeri/20130522/dn_11/AirAsia-enggan-bawa-pulang-jenazah-dari-Jogjakarta In a nutshell : AirAsia refuses to carry casket back to KL from Jogjakarta. Had to be flown to Jakarta on Garuda and back to KUL on MAS. -

She should've obtained that letter before the flight, the ground would not have denied her boarding -

It is stated in the Conditions of Carriage when you buy the ticket (who reads them i know) that the carrier has rights to offload a passenger who has or is suspected of suffering from a contagious disease. As such I agree with Suhaimi, A little empathy or human touch would make the situation much more tolerable. Plus, even if the kid has recovered from chicken pox, he/she will need a doctor's letter stating so. -

Lion Air and NADI announced a JV - Malindo Air
Walter Sim replied to BC Tam's topic in General Aviation
I think that is where the optional emergency exit doors will be if they decided to go for a slightly denser configuration, complying to regulations. If you noticed there is an extra exit on Lion's 737 which are higher in density. -

Walter Sim replied to flee's topic in General Aviation
Nope its non etops. Lot's of airport along the way within the 1 hour on single engine range, like Capt Radzi mention 420nm for the 738. You've got KCH, BTU, MYY which you can divert to in case things happen. -
Nice ones Yuh Loh!!!!

If it arrived around noon on the 30th it might be due to the immense traffic going into KUL. Runway switched for some reason from 32 to 14 causing lots of congestion while they are trying to reroute everyone. I was coming from LGK where were told to hold until further notice. Thankfully we had a little bit of extra fuel to play with, turned out we spend 20 minutes in the hold before proceeding for 14L.
