Malaysia Airlines plane fire forces emergency landing
Suzanne Goh replied to flee's topic in General Aviation
They don't - but if not for this plane in the right place at the right time, in serviceable condition - they would be sitting in Tullamarine till 11pm, and not flying now. Yes, they don't care, and they don't realise. I'm saying that just don't know how close they came to having Hungry Jack's for dinner instead of Nasi Lemak and Char Kway Teow. -

Interestingly today, last night's 149 is operating as 149D, 12 1/2 hours late, and will arrive plenty lambat into MEL tonight. but somehow, MTE is now serviceable, and they used it to operated 148 today. I'll bet most pax on 148 won't even realise this, but the plane they're riding to KUL today isn't the one supposed to be used, but the one that turned around 6 days ago. -
i can just about imagine this memo coming up today: Dear Production and Warehousing Team, Kindly dispose of all 35cm size cabin bags produced. Dear Marketing team, Kindly dispose of all marketing materials related to the 35cm cabin bags. Dear Corporate Affairs team, You let this slip without pressuring them? You're all fired. Kindly pack your bags and go. Signed, The boss.

If I recall correctly DXB gets kits. The new Porsche design one is a bit sleeker. Quite nice actually. Got the black one outbound and the brown one inbound from NRT a few days ago. Better than the tumi one.

If travelling on a Oneworld carrier, standard oneworld rules apply, IF the lounge you intend to go to is Oneworld carrier operated (not third party). So flying MH (i'm guessing you are from the Marhaba invitation), you can use the BA lounge which is operated by BA, but not the QR lounge, because QR uses some third party contractor (can't remember the name, but they don't have their own lounge in DXB if i recall correctly) So your choices, flying MH, are the Marhaba (MH contracted) or BA (BA operated).

I would say 2013 or so. Maybe earlier. Can't remember , but it wasn't that recent.
-
Yes BA uses MH in KUL QF is decent also - but opening hours pelik sikit. Doesn't open most of the day. CX open 4 am to either 8pm or 1am - covers most MH flights
-
yes. MH will give you an invite to Louis Tavern but CX doesn't need it. They only need your boarding pass so you can visit both if you want.
-
This question is SUPER easy to answer. I visited CX's new BKK lounge on opening day (9 June) and 3rd day of business (11 June). It's the best. MH will give you louis Tavern but go to the CX lounge instead. BA = Tutup. JL - not open all the time. CX has done up the lounge quite tastefully. Anybody wanna see pics? Edit : in hindsight - if you're after a shower or ice cream or weird Thai snacks - Louis tavern is better. They have stuff that does appeal to Asians , less so to Mat sallehs. They're pretty close to each other anyway. Try both.

SIN and CGK is served by the 4 class premium config. J is 1-2-1 new and it also has one row of 4 seats in F with the curtains suite SIN and CGK is served by the 4 class premium config. For what it's worth - KUL is a WW fleet route. WW, or worldwide is the original contract staff of BA. That is why you see the title of CSD, or cabin services director in the article. BA at some stage then hired a whole new bunch of Staff on the MF or mixed fleet contract, which are generally younger and also paid somewhat less. On the MF services the Most senior cabin crew carries the title CSM (manager). As examples , SYD and SIN are MF routes. (BA splits it by route- not by plane) HKG is WW, whereas LAX is MF - so there are both MF and WW A380,744,777,767 crews. I generally prefer WW on average, the best and worst crews I have ever had are MF. Somewhat less consistent but when they are good - they are better than WW

Burnt ? They're incinerated la. Reminds me of another story I won't mention the industry but let's call him "M" M was sec gen of the industry union. he was dismissed from his job some years ago, but filed a wrongful dismissal appeal with IR and as such found a loophole to stay on as ̀ Sec gen. Finally his appeal was dismissed - so you know what he did ? He made the union hire him as an employee. Silly bugger demanded same salary as was paid to him whilst an employee. You can guess how long he lasted ....

Of course. Because Malaysian owned Boeings are the only ones that are not Anti aircraft missile proof. CX/QF/NH/JL/AA/UA/TG/SQ/NZ/BA/LH/AF/VS/DL's boeings are all missile proof. A SAM would just bounce off their skin. If I were MH I would go ask Boeing for a refund. What la. kena cheated. If the next plane MH buys is not crash proof I will suspect some hanky panky in the bidding process I swear. -

False alarm. Good call. Nothing to see. Move along. Unfortunately Malaysians when they see some incident or accident by the side of the road must ask 1) ohhhh Ada mati Ka ? 1) wah. Melayu ka? Cina Ka ? India Ka ? -
Not so easy to stop work Nufam is poorly advised and therefore poorly advising it's members Essentially what he proposing is a strike. Not so easy. If the labour minister does not approve - you can bet MH will be ready to immediately sack those who don't show up for work. Save on separation money !
