And then, they design and design and build and build and cut the ribbons and launch and ... opps, forget about efficient connectivity with the other airports in the vicinity. Opps... I meant terminals in the vicinity. This MAHB naming conventionitis is contagious. And so far, still more silence on any replacement train sets servicing the satellite terminal at KLIA1.... the MAHB management are really an oblivious bunch of people.

Qatar Airways to Serve Langkawi via Penang Beginning 15 Oct 2019

You can only say tag-ons failed to work if the destination is completely abandoned. The fact that QR operated direct flights to HKT much later showed that tag-ons worked to build traffic and presence. -

Somehow, I sensed that this will be routed via another destination (PEN?, HKT?) to make it viable all year round. -

AirAsia To Make Langkawi Its 6th International Hub

Its just a case of a Minister having to open his mouth to say something, even if it is just garbage. I dont know how many times recently I have had to board ME3 aircraft using stairs at AUH, DXB or DOH. -
Guide on Regional Flights by Non Regional Airlines

The SQ118-119 flights are always priced higher than the other two SQ flights, and the morning one tends to be the cheapest. -
Guide on Regional Flights by Non Regional Airlines
Mushrif A replied to Mohd Azizul Ramli's topic in General Aviation
I never see SQ putting a premium on fares for the KUL runs just because a new aircraft is used. The fare remains consistent whether it is a 333 or 359 or 78J operating it. -
Malaysia Airlines Launches new Amenity Kits

The grey Aigner bag should not have this problem. -
What's in it for the crew to give consent? Better pay rate for those consented hours?
-
There is at least one MH 333 sitting forlornly minus both engines at KUL. So, less one from the fleet.
-
Is that a sick AK 320 in the middle?
-
That fare requires a three night stay or therabouts.
-
I think it is more a function of the popularity of morning departures to BKK and the SQ118/119 combination. SQ can put old 772s on these flights and still charge high fares due to demand. You can get that lower by buying a return and with some days stay in BKK.

Row 1 seat change is a real issue? Hahaha. Yeah, Get Real. Did you pay a first class fare or some premium for row 1 but got moved to be seated in J or Y? Airlines have the right and can easily move you to any seat within the travel class that you paid for, for whatever operational reason. Some may be better at communicating this than others, and some may go above and beyond what is required of them to pacify a moved-passenger - but whichever way it is - it remains the right of the airline. There were a few anecdotal evidence that during the later stages of the 359 trial flights period, MH lets pax who had preselected row 1 to remain in row 1. Maybe they happen to be Enrich plats or MH simply exercising its right to not be bothered with moving the pax from row 1.

Maybe it was a comparison with the 380 seats which do feel more spacious. I dont know what MH could do to make the 350 seats more spacious in a cost effective manner as the infrastructure is already in place. Whilst the issue of limited toilets is genuine, the complaint about the seat seems frivolous. Maybe hand out the url for SQs website to the complainant? There are always other options if they wish to pay more.

AirAsia CEO says looking at Boeing 787 for AirAsia X fleet growth

And during negotiations for more planes, any CEO worth his salt will say he is looking at all options. Saying he is only considering Airbus will not guarantee the best possible prices. So, a no-news news. Move on.
