  1. Don't think so. The B744F was purchased new few years back.
  2. Wow, MAS really has identity issue. This is the third or fourth liveries MAS has.
  3. MAS always has EPF at its disposal. So long as the current gomen is in power, there will be no ending. The rakyat will 'always' bail them out, even without our consent. Before someone flame me for being political, let me get it straight. I am not saying the opposition is all clean, at least try for once to see if they can perform. If they don't perform, we rakyat will always have the right to throw them out. Businesses are set up up to make money, not to make loss.
  4. Malaysia Airlines website has reduced the number of B777 to 15 only. Another B777 due to retire? Which is next? http://www.malaysiaairlines.com/uk/en/mh-experience/our-fleet/boeing-777-200.html
  5. They are actually doing so. Several last round of hiring has been for stewardess, none was for steward.

  7. The much awaited 2013 Paris Air Show started yesterday 17th June and will run till 23rd June. This year will see Airbus and Boeing battle it out for both narrowbody and widebody orders. This edition is particularly for widebody aircraft interesting as A350 flown for the first time last week and B787 production has resumed considerably after the battery fire fiasco. Both are trying to win more order. In addition, Boeing is set to announce the development of B787-10 as well as replacement for B777, the B777-10X. Day 1: 17th June 2013 Airbus - Doric Lease Corp’s Memorandum of Understanding to acquire 20 A380s - Lufthansa firmed up its order for 70Neo (35 A320neo and 35 A321neo) along with 30 A320ceo's. - ILFC’s firm order for 50 more A320neo Boeing - Qatar Airways firm order for two B77Ws and seven options - Skymark Airlines’ Memorandum of Understanding to acquire four B737MAX - GECAS’ Memorandum of Understanding for 10 787-10x *Qatar Airways B77Ws order was previously booked as UFO in Boeing orderbook. 8. New marketing advertisement campaign...............Journeys Are Made By The People You Travel With
  9. They would need a battalion of foreign workers to really get it done before the end of the year. Hope the new KLIA2 would be able to handle the exponential growth of low cost travel in Malaysia, unlike what have happened with current LCCT.
  10. Thanks Radzi for the pix. The combination of KLIA and KLIA2 makes the whole airport looks massive. Are we going for 'biggest airport by size' status?? Lolx!
  11. Rumour mill: RB's B787-8M6 first flight will be on 11th October 2013, BWN-SIN. Don't quote me on this, got this from a friend.
  12. Update: Malindo Air MSN 38732 Boeing 737-9GP(WL) - Reg: 9M-LNH Prev Reg: PK-LLF First Flight: 24-05-2013 Delivered: 09-06-2013 Routing: BFI-HNL-MAJ-CEB-KUL
  13. AirAsia numbers might take a hit if MH is to deploy A380s to SYD and MEL, but then again we are looking at different segment of the market. Eight hours on D7 A330 is seriously a no-no for me.....at least. Glad that I survived it......
  14. It depends on which flight you took. Mind telling us where were you heading?
  15. Updates - AirAsia X Airbus A330-343X MSN 1423 - Reg: 9M-XXJ Delivered: 11-06-2013 Indonesia AirAsia Airbus A320-214 MSN 2425 - Reg: PK-AZC Delivered: 07-06-2013 ex SATA International CS-TKL 8.2 years old.
  16. Correct!! AQQ, AQU and AQV are all with Sharklets. Thai AirAsia A320-232WL HS-BBC and HS-BBD are with Sharklets as well. Indonesia AirAsia A320-216WL PK-AZD comes with Sharklet.
  17. Let the mud slinging begins.....lolx! OMG, how can they do such unethical development? We may have a new KLIA2, but with cracks soon...............
  18. Unfortunately MH is not a strong financial position to purchase any new aircraft now. MH is in no hurry to buy either A350 or B787 as most of their fleet is pretty new: A380s for long haul, A330-300 for medium to long haul, B738NG for short-medium haul and Twin Otter new generation for STOL airports. [ B747 is retired and B777 are on their way out] As MH as stated earlier, they will look at HGW version of A330-300X only if they are buying new aircraft. To add salt to the 'wound', AJ has stated he doesn't like to operate to many types of aircraft. The queuing line to get one A350 or 787 is too long, I think getting an A330 is easier.
  19. A Cebu Pacific Air A320-232 apparently skidded off the runway during an emergency landing in Davao due to rainy conditions. The emergency landing was apparently caused by engine malfunction. No injuries or casualties have been reported. Source: http://www.philippineflightnetwork.com/2013/06/cebu-pacific-aircraft-overshoots-runway.html
  20. SQ is looking to become a pioneer user again with B787-10X. It has been a while since SQ did that with A380, which ended up with disastrous consequences. We are now wondering if the current 13 A330s will be retired as the A350s come along? However, SQ placed an additional A330 order recently with one to be delivered soon.
  21. If the current government can rigged an election just to stay in power, I don't see any reason how they can get the project done on time. The cost has ballooned from initial RM1.7 billion to RM4.4 billion! And yet it is behind schedule.........Something must have gone very wrong somewhere!~~~~ Plus there are stories in the press stating that the soil at the KLIA2 are not suitable for construction.....God bless the users! Wait, which is us.......
  22. This Malindo Air is no joker........................Win for us consumers!!
