  1. Air Asia is not often cheap, I find. If you are not buying during their discounted sale or heavily discounted sale. Their normal fare isn't that far off from full service carrier. I would rather fly a full service carrier than with the Bogan bus.
  2. Same here, I have only seen their heavy promotions in HK on Gold Coast, Cairns, Auckland, Tokyo/ Osaka and Hanoi service. Not even a word about KCH.
  3. Cheeky... and aimed directly at the "Bogan's" bus
  4. Wow guys, really!? So there is this video on the net that this arrogant Yankee who want to confront the pilots smoking and got the crew around to check it. Of course the crew would not dare to challenge the pilot (not culturally Chinese anyway). So what happens if say in mid air, pax file a complaint. Does the captain have to listen to the pax or can he do whatever he likes? Is there a company policy amongst airlines against pilot smoking in the cockpit? What would be the consequences if they are caught or a complaint is filed against them by a pax? https://youtu.be/ScdidQIkry0
  5. Nope sorry, Alan Joyce is gay and makes him an easy target to get rid of for some people in Malaysia
  6. http://onemileatatime.boardingarea.com/2016/07/26/china-eastern-flight-smoke/ Apparently it happened a lot and as usual they won't admit it.
  7. Nope, don't really fly with MH anymore unless I have to. I don't even live in Malaysia. Actually it is more like 333 and 320 phobia.
  8. HX does not fly to KUL unfortunately. Plus KA fares are a lot more expensive. HX had already started or about to start routes to OOL and AKL. Their fares are a lot cheaper than CX. The only downside is the equipment. 333 or 332.... or 320 for regional. I would imagine I will have a 333/332 or 320 phobia if I fly with them all the time.
  9. Who will receive the 5x B777-200A? One of them is the first 777 ever built.... B-HNL...
  10. My my... aren't we a negative bunch? It is too early to say. I would very much glad to see an alternative choice for travelers who are sick of transiting.
  11. Will we soon be able to fly Australia to London DIRECT? Qantas predicts non-stop 18-hour flights to Europe 'within a year' after taking delivery of new Dreamliners Read more: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3740892/First-direct-flights-Australia-Europe-new-Dreamliners-Qantas.html#ixzz4HPsderxU Follow us: @MailOnline on Twitter | DailyMail on Facebook Sorry but it looks like this will spell the end of the Kangaroo route stop over thing that many were keen to tap on.
  12. CX is replacing 5x B777-200A with a handful of soon-to-be ex-EK B777-300A? Is this info reliable?
  13. Not HK as far as I know. MH60/61 (HKG-BKI-KUL) on A300. May be Seoul or NRT
  14. Hope the glass were still intact after the fly past. Thanks for sharing, the DC-10-30 sure brings back some fond memories. MH33, where was the flight originated from? I know during those days MH26/27 was KUL-BNE-AKL route, which I frequented. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TUP9OYSKjfk
  15. Pilot suicide theory has gained momentum http://www.spiegel.de/international/world/mh370-disappearance-that-fuselage-is-in-one-piece-says-expert-a-1107149.html
  16. The MASWings ATR72s are mainly traffic from BKI, SDK and Tarakan, Indonesia. While AK traffic from BKI and KUL MAS traffic from KUL and BKI
  17. Couple of times sounded a bit serious. Although there were 2-3 typhoons so far this year, the direct hit for HK was only once this year (2016) at the time of writing. It occured on last Tuesday 2/8/16 and Typhoon signal no.8 was hoisted and causing the cancellation of some flights particularly in the morning. There are 2-3 typhoons brewing at this stage at the Pacific Ocean. Not sure if they are heading across to HK at all. Typically, 2-3 typhoons hits HK every year, but many do not cause major damage and hardly go over Signal 8.
  18. Was Emirates’ 777 Crash Landing “An Accident Waiting To Happen?” http://onemileatatime.boardingarea.com/2016/08/08/cause-of-emirates-777-crash-landing/ Is this the first write of for a 777-300A?
  19. http://www.theweek.co.uk/mh370/57641/mh370-plane-was-deliberately-flown-into-sea-says-investigator Finally, the Malaysian government admitted to this.... . and they knew this all along? Tsk tsk tsk..
  20. http://boeing.mediaroom.com/2016-07-27-Boeing-Malaysia-Airlines-Announce-Order-for-up-to-50-737-MAX-Airplanes#assets_117 Boeing has put up a rendering of MH 737MAX on their website.
  21. The images are somewhat an eerie reminder of the ill fated SQ6 that crashed in TPE
  22. Guys, no personal attack please! For the record, QF and NZ staff will never help you with handling or lifting your bags during check in. Nor would they even tear away your old baggage tag, you will be asked to do it yourself. When flying QF or NZ, you have to put your baggage up to the overhead storage bins, if the cabin crew is kind enough to help, it will be you lifting it along with him/her. They are not required to do it for you.
  23. The 757 is a product from the 1980s. It is due for a serious upgrade. The 757 has not been given a new lease of life, in a similar manner as the 737s did over 2-3 generations. Right, seems that the A321 cockpit is similar to the A330. Will there be any upgrades to the A320 NEO series cockpit to say similar to that of the A380 and A350?
