MAS Agrees To Try Miri-Guangzhou-Hong Kong Transit Flight
dsim replied to Naim's topic in General Aviation
RBA offering BWN-HKG-BWN for around rm1100 including tax + fuel surcharge for Malaysia Passport holders (w/o Brunei work permit). I doubt MYY-BKI-HKG return can be any cheaper than that. Tried to check online, but MAS site seems to be busy. The only nag about RBA option is one has to drive from Miri to BWN, which is not a problem for most cost concious leisure travellers. Moreover the MAS option has a stopover at BKI. -

i only know oz is the only place where prices must my all inclusive. elsewhere its still 'hidden' until u pay.

my experience is that CX has a lower fuel surcharge in asia pacific region.

i like the "sale" in quotes

just received mine today.

any full service competitor airlines in this region can out price the above with tax and fuel surcharge included. not mention better cancellation t&c. the only disadvantage is to have 1-stopover instead of non-stop flight, which most leisure travellers won't mind.

ridiculously higher fuel surcharges .... something mh is famous for... which i still cannot understand. loos at cx, the fuel surcharge is minimal comparing the same sector. anyone care to explain the huge gap in fuel surcharges in airlines?

that's row 60-62. last row is 63 but no window. enjoy the long walk during embarkation/disembarkation if the flight is full.

On your recent flights MH52/53 KUL-KIX-KUL, there's no menu, though they offered two choices. We remembered travelling on KUL-ADL-KUL back in 2003, there's a menu. The plastic cup MH use for hot drinks nowadays is very soft and mine has a plastic flake in it. Perhaps cutting cost to print the menus and resort to cheaper plastic wares? The child meal as served in cheap looking paper boxes with a pull-out paper plane. We would prefer those hard plastic boxes they used back in 2005, that the kid could keep as a bag after the meal. Plus, there's no goodies for the kids like other airlines provide. We travelled on CX KUL-HKG-KUL in 2005 (kid has a Disney backpack with goodies in it) and BI BWN-SIN-BWN (some drawing goodies). MH don't have these to keep the kids occupied onboard? Cut cost? We travel economy class on personal trips. I travel business on MH, the meals and services are good. but economy.... MH could use some improvements... see what CX, SQ do.
