  1. yup, tiger was suppose to fly sin-bwn since a l-o-n-g time ago, till now, didn't see it also.
  2. does not matter ... just something i noticed...
  3. great great.. looking forward for this one for a long long long long time .... no mention of which LCC is to operate from Singapore...
  4. I purchased 2 tickets online from MH website on 1-OCT and 6-OCT. On both occasions, the email was send out from different accounts. No consistency ? On 1-OCT - it was from PIRSVC@mas.com.my On 6-OCT - it was from noreply@malaysiaairlines.com.my
  5. yup.... and at times MI/SQ have more competitive pricing for connecting via SIN on MI/SQ, than via KUL on MH.
  6. SilkAir is a full service airlines and provides onward connectivity to SQ/MI flights from SIN; while AK is LCC and point-to-pint (as I have recently learnt, yes - recently cos I still never have a chance to fly on any LCC yet) - guess that makes the difference. does that mean the tiger is going to roar in KCH, BKI and MYY soon?
  7. how come no much publicity? or have i been under the coconut shell for too long?
  8. thanks, airasia faq did not mention about the "recommended" 3hr to connect and the crazy queue. the good news is - i m not taking any of these flights the bad news is - the news will reach my sis-in-law soon
  9. so, if the first leg delay for more than 1hr ... that's it lar? not like full service airlines, whereby they will make up for the 2nd leg (like next connecting flight, etc) at their expense?
  10. AirAsia SIN-KUL-KCH - can check-in all the way? Is it possible to get the KUL-KCH boarding pass when check-in at SIN? How about checked baggage? AK 122 0855 (SIN) -> 0945 (KUL) AK 5206 1145 (KUL) -> 1330 (KCH) and returning flight, can get the KUL-SIN boarding pass when check-in at KCH ? AK 5203 0920 (KCH) -> 1100 (KUL) AK 129 1245 (KUL) -> 1335 (SIN) If onward flight check-in is not possible for AirAsia, is 1hr 45min and 2hr ok to connect at LCCT KUL? How early does the check-in for KUL-KCH close? Likewise for KUL-SIN ? From AirAsia FAQ - "For AK flights - Our check-in counters are open two (2) hours before the scheduled flight departure time. The counters close forty-five (45) minutes before the scheduled flight departure time." Cannot find info about onward flight check-in at AirAsia website, or AirAsia is strictly "point-to-point" carrier?
  11. watch the keywords ... intends, hopes, considering....
  12. cx not only cheaper than mh.. cx has better meals & newer planes... well at least those i have been on. conclusion = cx is cheap and good.
  13. would love to see more liberalisation on this...
  14. why not? if they are genuinely flying the passenger for free this time round with all taxes and what not surcharges thrown in for free too yea lor... look at sq...
  15. probably the A380 deal has a few 737-400's thrown into the package for the fun and laughter... and NH decides to use fly it as Malaysia domestic flights
  16. yes, indeed. nozomi is newer and "sleek"er
  17. u did not mention your length of visit, i applied twice for single entry, max 15-day stay, the visa is foc. i got mine done in 2006 and 2007 (yea, 2 trips to japan in 2 years.. nice place... ) thru an agent that charged me service fee rm50/passport. my place here no japan embassy or consulate... too bad lor... and yea, thanks to those illegal aliens ... malaysians were able to go japan w/o visa long long time ago... make sure u download the application form online from embassy webpage or get from embassy office. there are sample on how to fill the form, and supporting docs required (depending on your purpose of visit). 2006: first time apply japan visa, i did not check embassy website and use agent's form for granted, it was turn down at embassy when my agent bring form there, becos the agent gave me an old form (agent dare to charge me 2x service fee some more - for providing me old form in the first place) ... never mind, i wan a good memorable trip, so did not argue much and apply using new form - visa issued in less than a week. 2007: smarter, download form from embassy, pass to agent to do it... again, visa issued in less than a week. if u r a resident in oz (ie. on oz work permit, or oz student visa), i guess the japan embassy in oz will entertain u. no harm calling them to check. single entry, visitor type visa is valid for 3 mth, so do not apply too early. my experience at immigration upon arrival for both trips (2006 kix and 2007 ngo) are pleasant. 2007 is the year when the implemented the thumbprint and photo-taking. just follow instructions - (yes, there are posters in english on the thumbprint and photo-taking bit). no questions on purpose of visit... though i have all usual stuff ready, like return tickets, hotel reservations. i guess these info had been screened at visa application stage. have a good trip...
  18. yea.. make a day trip there and see look... here's a photo during december last year at T2
  19. and lots of shops.... lots of "real" shops...
  20. this hardly noticeable asterisk sign above the number 8 on the keyboard has been very tactfully used these days. it may appear in a local fish market soon, .... "ikan bawal rm1/kg *".. then, put the rest of the price in * and all the terms and conditions along with it (like... price is for one-side of the fish only, some part of the fish is not included, or fish not exchangable or refundable)... etc...
  21. careful with BI bookings... i experience where my booking is done, and dateline to issue ticket is another 3 weeks t go.... within a week from booking, the "system auto-cancelled" my booking (yea, i called to check... just in case), that's another 2 weeks before the dateline to issue, none of the customer service person knew what happened... cannot get the same flight date again... gave up....
  22. or media release like this? http://www.cathaypacific.com/cpa/en_MY/abo...00010d21c39____
  23. another delay.. (or should it be retimed).. for today's myy-kch from morning till 7pm... duh...
  24. same here... been providing enrich card number during inflight purchases and check-in to ensure points are awarded. some how the "system" still cannot "capture" the transaction/check-in... follow up by calling enrich and fax it as per advised.. attention to "so and so that entertained the cal" ... it still got "lost" at times.... wonder is it the system or procedures ...
  25. similar ploy or improvement? i never been on JAL (though I tried to get on JAL flights a few times but failed due to more competitive pricing by SIA) - so no much to comment on their services... http://www.my.jal.com/cms/contents/en/jal_news_2511.html
