  1. Here are some in-flight wing shots from my "to" flights... Sneeze... Thanks for showing me around the airport, and thanks for your company! Appreciate that very much! ;-)
  2. Sneeze... I slept, only to find out that it was seven something in the morning. Got myself to the bathroom and had a nice wash-up before I pushed my bulky baggage to be checked-in, and then only I proceeded - steadily - to the restricted area with my two hand-held bags along... It was around 8:30 then. Traffic was quite mundane at that time, so I left around 9:10 am, giving up the UA (from Ho Chi Minh). No... Didn't get the AF and AZ. I saw some 07R take-offs during the night... Honestly, after you left, I was thinking to myself how I was going to spend the next 24 hours... I started to get irritated and, thankfully, I got myself a (small) cup of Espresso from Pacific Cafe, and used up the internet service for three hours. Then I went wandering around the airport before settling down for a rest. Sorry I was late, not only for my flight, but I kept you waiting, Sneeze!
  3. Pieter, flight is ot full though the whole cabin was crowded! Next to me was a Mr., seated a seat apart, so I had ample space to rest my arms. Ohh... There was a lady Malaysian star on board, just a few seats in fornt, but I don't know who she is exactly. I wanted to take shots of her but was too shy to do it openly! I still can't recall in what program she is featured! Still thinking and searching hard! The two flights were scheduled 20 minues apart, with CX departing later than MH. Nevertheless, we departed ahead of MH. It's fun to see the 744 in VHHH, then again in WMKK as we arrived. :-) The MH passengers most probably wouldn't know the CX 773 taxiing ahead of them was the same they (prabably) saw taxiing ahead of them back at VHHH.
  4. Choong, I have the same experiences as you did. Sometimes I could just realized that "I thought I've experienced this before?" It's always very, very vivid, and to be honest I am very disturbed everytime. It's really "deja vu!"
  5. Hi Pieter, this flight was by far my most enjoyable flight ever! I just love flying on the Triple 7! New, nice cabin; pretty, cute stewardesses; yummy meals; smooth cruise (except a mild turbulence while I was dining; was worrying of my coffee that it might spill - it didn't!)... I give it a good ! This was my first ever T7 flight as well! ;-) In fact, I persevered 24 hours just to fly on a T7; I have missed my flight on the previous day ad there were no other T7 flights except I waited 24 hours! Yeah, Sneeze told me about your planned trip, Pieter. Hope you'd enjoy as well as I did!
  6. Take-off and climb... Nice RR engine! In the cabin... This lady is very active... She moves around with lovely actions... Gonna miss 'em... ;-) Anyone knows her? Over Vietnam... The first is above a waypoint city called "Nai" something... The second is the capital city of the communist country. Soon we arrived at KUL. Parked. I was allowed to visit the cockpit (after flight) but not allowed to photograph! Err...! No worries, Imran... ;-) Here are the shots for my return trip. Photos for my "to" trip will come up later! ;-) I'll try improve my photographing skills in the future... Hey Fitri! Haven't heard from you lately! Nice to hear from you again! I blast off to Hong Kong right after my exams on April 30th! UM is holiday again... Ended my second year... :-) My "to" trip photos will come soon.
  7. More photos... These pictures are taken while I was in the waiting gallery. The MH 744 is "Kuala Lumpur" and its destination was also KUL. It was scheduled to depart earlier than we do, but it was second after us at departure queue. After arriving at KUL, this MH big brother followed us to parking. ;-) More... As we were taxiing... A company A330 departed as we were holding at Rwy 25L. It roared and charged down the runway while I looked through the window. We did not taxied into Active immediately, ringing an alert signal in my mind that a cargo landing was taking place. And, there came a cargo, nose-up, dropped, nose-up again to flare, and finally burned some rubber on the runway. Then it was time for us to spool up... We were followed by a company 773 and then our MH big brother... imran, sorry I'm a poor photographer, but here I am to share my shots... Hope I am forgiven.
  8. Here are some photos taken at Hong Kong Chek Lap Kok. The above were taken with Sneeze; photos are in order of arrival. Cargo landing on Rwy 25L. These two were taken the next day as I was waiting for my flight. Then I went to the spot where many spotters gather and here are two spotters in action. Sneeze took a lot of photos at this spot. :-) More to come...
  9. Interesting topic! Let me share my experiences. On 9/11 - I was form 5 at the time and was having a special tuition class that night. Suddenly, while the tuition was underway, something just flashed through my mind and I was stunned for a moment, then I turned my head to a friend and told him "look at the news tomorrow; the British parliment building has collapsed." I said with confidence, not even knowing what I was saying. When I realized I just said something, I thought to myself "what silly thing I am saying! I said with confidence?" It turned out, the next day I found from the newspaper was that the twin-tower has collapsed. What a tragic, and I was perplexed, in fact! On the Lion crash in Indonesia - I was boarding MH 7 to KL from Penang that afternoon. Next to us was a Lion a/c. It suddenly came to me that a plane is gonna crash in Indonesia the following week. The next thing I knew was that an a/c belonging to Lion has crashed, which is of the same model as that I saw. I wonder if it was that a/c I saw. Tragic... These are the two I can recall at this moment. There are more similar incidents, though not related to aviation disaster. To be honest, those become-real visions really haunt me during my early ages; it still haunt me, but I am starting to be immuned. I have prayed a lot on this area, and I hope it will never happen again.
  10. Hey Sneeze! Thanks for all the info (though not 100% certain but that helps!)! ;-) Spotting in Hong Kong on May 1st?
  11. Hiya Sneeze... I want to know the runway most probable for approach... Wanna find a best view from the cabin. 17:55 departure... KUL spotters available?
  12. Hello Sneeze, an interruption to the topic here. Do you know which Approach and Runway will most probably be used for my flight CX 724 KUL-HKG 17:55 local time departure Apr. 30? Thanks...
  13. Great LeeCH! I'll be around Penang in June! Do update me with your schedule and my friends and I will be ready with our snappers! ;-) By the way, guys, my flight to Hong Kong this 30th April is CX 724 (A330) at 17:55. Anyone there to capture? I'll try to sit on the right and look out the window to spot any of your! Hey, hey...!!!
  14. Why only London - Langkawi, Mr. Mahathir? How about London - Penang??? I want my MH 007 back!!!
  15. Can I get more information on this Ex MH 9M-MHL? Any information is welcomed. Thanks! Please visit: http://www.airliners.net/open.file/1023891/L/
  16. No one! Safety is the only concern, otherwise it would be wonderful to stand just right beside the spot where a plane touches down! ^^
  17. Hey Min Chun! Guess you have gone spotting yourself without me... Wow!! I miss Penang! I have not been home since CNY! Miss the spotting days! Nice pictures reminds me of my hometown... It never ceased to remind me of my childhood days... Penang airport is where my passion began and developed! ^^ Thanks for the pictures!
  18. I would love to walk to 300 meters if it is on the runway... Are you sure? Was there last Friday dawn. Surprisingly, it was very nice, clean, and looks good... The roads are so new and they were just so clean... But, as you all mentioned, perhaps time will tell...
  19. Thanks Sneeze and Pieter... I thought I checked CX website but it turned up "not-determined". Thanks for drawing me the attention, though! ;-) We'll plan to meet, Sneeze, as it gets closer to the date. :-)
  20. Hi Sneeze... I'll be in Hong Kong on April 30; will arrive at night on CX 724 KUL - VHHH. Will have one free day (May 1). Wonder if we could spot together. By the way, can anyone confirm which a/c type will be used on the flight mentioned above? It is said to depend on the day of the flight; does anyone know which a/c type? Hope it's the 772 or -3.
  21. Someone please tell me... I am picking up a friend tomorrow early morning, AK ?? Macau - KUL. Am I to go to the LCCT? Yes, tomorrow, Friday...
  22. At least we now know a 4WD is able to power a light plane, at least for takeoff if not for climb to cruise...
  23. I also thought the Concord was flying; was thinking it was performing exhibition flights, though... By the way, kevin, are you from Perak? Hmm...
  24. Did the cat enjoy the flight? Wah... Cats also get to fly, why not men??? Everyone must fly. Perhaps, "Even cats can fly, why can't you!" can be MH upcoming motto... No? AK has "now everyone can fly...," MH should also come up with one similar...
  25. Wow........................................... So enlightening!!! These are what I need for a realistic FS flight!! How can I boast to others that I can "fly" airplanes when I don't get all these right??? Yes, I use the 0.3 rule, but often times I either end up too high or too low, and most of the time speedbreaks are employed... Thanks, Mr. TK, Mr. Lee, and Mr. Radzi, and other contributors!
