  1. Guys, please be informed that new aircrafts are costly...
  2. From the legal point of view, I was astounded to learn that he was freed unconditionally by both countries. It really did surprise me as to how far Malaysia could be so "compassionate" to Palestine. What he did was a serious offence; you could have finish the "what if he..." questions in so many ways. From another point of view, I am moved to learn that he actually collapsed and broke down in tears as he asked for forgiveness from Malaysia. Life has been so difficult in his homeland, and people are desperate for a peaceful life. Malaysia, a nation which has fought for Palestinian "rights", seemed to offer a glitter of hope to this man for a better life suddenly became the object of his guilt. He must be torn apart on the thought of it...
  3. Hurray... I am boarding an Airbus 737-300... Woohoo...
  4. Good news... But have to wait till 2009... Impatient...
  5. Hi Jason, by "going early" do you mean going from early morning or the first days of the exhibition or both?
  6. It seems A340 has a hardtime with stopping in time... Toronto, Quito, now Johannesberg.
  7. Weehee Capt... This incident is ringing red alert in your mind... I read in a Physics text few years ago that each engine is fastened to the plane by two bolts only... The question asked "why?" Till now I still don't know why. Someone explained it's exactly for incident like this one... So, he's right?
  8. Yeah... I think that's the term I was looking for...
  9. My goodness... That's bad... The arm not strong enough for the thrust...
  10. Hello... When exactly is the LIMA this year? I saw in the newspaper that it'd be in the first week of Dec. as opposed to what I understand from you guys earlier, which is in the second or third week of Dec.
  11. Hey! Cool stuff there! But I don't get it... Is that realtime or simulated?
  12. Kudos to the crews! I'm happy that you found that flight on MH delighting this time 'round... Yeah, sometimes we are pissed off by certain quarters, but there are also times you're impressed by a portion of them... Kudos again!
  13. They have even lost their basic instincts... Poor they...
  14. Georg, I'm also sorry for what you experienced lately... I have not been taking MAS for more than a year now, and I am not aware of these issues cropping up. I think you could write to a local newspaper to make your experience known to the Malaysian public, then perhaps MH might want to write a responce and we'll see what they have to say. Hopefully, it's something constructive. But, we might expect the negative, in which case, you might wanna decide on an alternate way of dealing with it. For you information, this is very common around the country. I don't know if it is common around the globe, but it is in Malaysia. I raised this issue about my university library service in this forum before. I was very frustrated with the librarians mentality, and I am still. I won't elaborate here anymore, but they are similar to your experience. Also, if you go to a food stall, for instance, sometimes you don't get what you ordered, and when you insist for your order, you are charged for what was the waiters' fault. It happens... This is the sad part. I don't like to tolerate and I usually don't condone the mistakes in such occasions. However, when I insist for the right stuff, I am often seen as hard-headed or fussy. I believe you guys have the same experence as well... Georg, do write to the media as well as MAS' customer satisfaction service. Hopefully, constructive measures will be taken.
  15. Hey... Cool thing to have the F/O talking here... Welcome!
  16. Yes, haven't forgotten that line... I thought it was funny to invoke "Taiwan" into the movie... Also the first time I realized there is international collaboration in many aspects of our life... That was back in 1998... Sweet years...
  17. It seems like BKI is not a good place for plane engines... We had two planes grounded (one MH and one Korean) there not too long ago... Now we have another MH 777 experiencing engine failure there... Anyone suspect some foul play or perhaps there is some weird magnetic field around BKI that would interrupt with engine performance?
  18. Hey Azuddin, very educational thread this is! Very nice... Thanks for sharing!
